Yeah, that's a good group build for vota.

I'll make a sample video of that later in a group game.

Assuming the following stats:

7000 Armor
650 All Resis
50k hp
55k dps (char sheet dps, so actual is higher)
44 crit chance

What mp should I be able to run? Using a cookie cutter fot/cyclone build

Okay. You are tanky but the dmg is low. Do you have any budget to upgrade?

Not much, only 10-20m. That's why I was wondering what mp I should aim to farm?

E/ I did mp1 last night for a lil and it was pretty easy, but not sure how high to go

My trash HC monk does mp3 farming fine. Try mp3 and slowly/carefully move up the mp. You want to be at the MP where you can breeze through the whites.
