Guys, I decided to add a new rule:

If you did not download PTR and actually TESTED lld'ing yourself, you do not have the right to suggest rules / question the ones in place.

Well, of course they should be able to suggest it, but it doesn't mean we will listen xd They should try it first, ofc

Joking aside, that statement was to show you how you guys sound. No basis whatsoever, yet think you have a word to say just because you "used to" lld.

we actually played it. take us at our word when we say htis is better for llding.

rules are not based on opinions, theyre based on results, facts.

one of the facts would be that using a life regen % passive triples your overall regen, making duels incredibly long and unfair for characters that dont have a regen passive. another fact would be that using a 850 dps weapon when all resist and armor are not an affixes available would turn lld into a 2-4 shot fest. we tested those things, we didnt theory craft / post our opinions like some people here do. we went out in the open with a question, and went back here with data nothing to do with opinion

regarding gems, it is based on opinions however.the situation its somewhat comparable to a hdin using 40 plain 15s vs a hdin using 40x 15/12s.. or a charger using using 40x 3/xx/15s vs plain 15s. ultimately, number wise, you dont gain a HUGE boost, but its enough to give you a significant edge. and lld is all about community. with that in mind, most of the community cant afford those gems and we wanted to keep llding available and fair to all, which is why controller and other llders decided not to use their radiant stars out of courtesy try keep it fair and fun for everyone.

Im kinda sure we agreed that higher gem qualities would end up in too much extra damage gained to keep it balanced between life / dmg, also stat wise if you compare it to the stats on the specific item

Everyone should not be able to have top notch chars though, so I don't think the price on the gems are relevant

im pro marquise ill just do public duels if theres no using them lol
