hes raising money... real money... to donate. how do we know he donates all the money, and dosnt keep a huge slice?

You have to be pretty rude to even consider that he is keeping the money. Since most people on this forum don;t know shit about athene, they shouldnt talk about how he is a piece of shit etc. He may suck at the game, and may be a troll, but he isn't an asshole. The entire reason he started doing online media things was to reach a wider audience so he and his friends could help more people. He has a background in politics, and has done a lot of work with reese on Ipower, a self development site.

He is a pretty sincere guy who is trying to help people out, and he uses the gaming community to be able to achieve that. So if you want to call him a newb or whatever that's completely fine, but don't call him a thief.

e: And if you don't want to just take my word on it, there is plenty of evidence that he does give the money to charity if you bother looking it up.

You must be joking. I just looked at that site. If that's what a trustworthy charity looks like to you, then I can't imagine what it would take for you to find one untrustworthy. I guess they would have to outright state that they intend to keep a portion or all of the funds.

You two must be morons. The money goes directly to save the children, if it didn't I am fairly sure the guy would have been arrested a long time ago.

e: Most charities do keep a portion of the funds, and it is widely known how much. Do you not even know how charities work, rofl?
