To be honest, WoW looks like it's oriented to children. And the feeling isn't serious at all, I seriously thought

it to be an indie game when I first saw it.

please tell me you are simply not refering the graphics.....Wow graphics are actually really good considering what the game requires.

d2/d3 and wow cant be compared just like that...
end of story...

but... wow is not THE BEST game ever...
WoW = World of WARCRAFT has become so popular due to few things...
-warcraft was so popular at the time wow was released, that everyone who liked w3 was like "ZOMFG THE WHOLE WORLD OF W3???? GOSUUUU!!!!11"
and ofc, they have begun to play it for that reason...
- second thing is, wow was the first MMO RPG that was made so BIG...
aka, you had numerous options, never before seen "HUGE" world, "mass" of classes, etc etc...
but, blizz didnt count on freaks (as always), so thats why wow has become too small (yes, too small i say...)
bunch of geeks, and no lifers did all they could in that game, bla bla bla, so thats why blizz had to give them something new...
thats why expansions are being released, new bosses are put into the game etc etc...
-and plz dont compare lvling in d2 with lvling in WoW...

first time you played d2, it was almost as much time consuming (mybe even more) than Wow is...
and guess what, first time you played diablo, i can bet you didnt completed hell mode...
if you know what you are doing, you can lvlup ur char in wow in week or so...
and now, go to d2, try to play alone, and lvlup ur char to lets say, lvl 85-90 (dont even think about lvl 99 )...
you will see how much time will you need... and i dont even want to talk about getting "the best" gear for your char in d2...
rune drops are silly, best rares/uniqs have like 1:100000 chance of dropping etc etc...

so plz dont talk bullshit, but try to think be4 u say smth...

I played d2 for like 6 years.....i know the game.
As far as can remember, on diablo 1 i was at diablo in hell and couldnt down him. Then again i was young and probably didn't play long.

Wow is popular. Good job. But FF11 came out before Wow and that was a very popular game. There were PLENTY of others as well. But yes, Wow grew the fastest AND is the most popular. If you really think that d2 is better than Wow than you need a reality check. Don't get me wrong, i loved d2.

Like any game, once you start it's always rough. Diablo 2 was always an easy game to achieve gear. So many people played making more items available which again, made items easier to obtain. Items can be reused since they are not BOE. yes, if you play diablo 2 alone, it would take forever to gear up and level up. Same with wow....however once you hit 80, it is nearly impossible to play alone. Of course they are two totally different styles of gaming.
