He has three different ones, pain/destruction do more than 40k damage to me with the set up I linked above, they last about 15 seconds iirc and can only be removed by either healing to full health or using serenity. I'd say 80% of my failed attempts were because I was fireballed when I had to serenity a curse, or cursed after I had to serenity a fireball.

wow i didn't even notice he had curses. :(

I never figured out if there was any sort of pattern to when they got casted but they were by far the hardest part of the fight until I started using earth ele.

I am no where near inferno diablo but I found that when I attempted him in hell with a group we wiped over and over but I had no problem doing him solo and had similar experience with him being easy solo in every other difficulty. I imagine the same will hold true in inferno.

Complete opposite, doing it with a fourman group we got it the second time, soloing was much much harder, no one to rez you if you get cursed/fireballed.

hmm I could be wrong for sure as I'm not yet geared enough to get much through act 2 the main thing i think that made it easier for me in the previous difficulties was not having to suffer for other peoples mistakes.

Got around to giving act4 a go, mowed my way towards Diablo, got him to 12% first go. Killed him on 6th or so. Was only ever at risk of dying to his cage and those deaths were because of getting clipped on his body.

My build, spec, gear all made that pretty easy.

Just hit Inferno in HC and was wondering what are the necessary upgrades I would need to stay alive for Inferno Act 1. Here's my stats, will upload pics of items if needed/requested.

I would get your resists up to about 350 and your damage up to about 8k some life on hit wouldn't hurt either.

How would you ever get hit by his cage? That's by far the easiest part. What did you do to avoid getting killed by curse->fire ball?

I just told you why I got hit by cage, his body clipping me when trying to run away because of my 400 Australian ping.
I didn't have to avoid curse fireball. I took no notice of any curses and just kept hitting him, a fireball would take 30% of my life maybe, more often than not I could even stand in the aoe and keep hitting him if I chose to.
Literally the only way I'd die is cage because I noobed it up or got clipped whilst trying to run.
