If you decide to give up those shelongs for EF + LifestealCritRare, You should be able to achieve much higher unbuffed dmg.

You can easily swap out your amulet for one with two of the three : CHC / CHD / IAS
Swap out the boots for ice climbers + throw a emerald on it

But I agree that the main thing holding you back is probably the weapon

Why do monks like Shelongs so much?

They are ONLY good when they roll GODLY dps/stats/socket which are HUMONGOUSLY expensive.

Don't go for the meh rolled Shelongs please.

heh to the people saying they prefer no mf, i have been farming for a few hours today. found an echoing fury, inna's pants and deamans legacy. i have just been blowing through a3 with no monster power setting.

I agree ... swap out shelongs.
I was playing with the shelong set for while, they were nice with the 130 dex bonus.

Now i have 3 weapons.
928 Butchers with 50 cd, 2.5LS and 100 cd gem
996 EF with 50 crit 2.9LS
948 sword with 50cd and 100 cd gem

When I want survivability, I use BS & EF for 5.4 LS (86K dmg)
When I want higher dmg, I use BS & sword (92K dmg)
With the extra 6K dmg and extra 100cd ... I can crit over 400K w/ blind and overawe.

Prices I paid:
Sword .... 5M (good price)
EF ........ 6M (awesome price)
BS ....... 57M (more than I want to spend ... but really happy with it)

EF fears monsters away ... and BS grabs them back ... it's pretty funny.
