well im the kind of guy that prefers to spend a shit ton on one good item and not have to upgrade it in the future rather than to split it up and buy a bunch of okay items, with 100m that should get u a nice dml

but in order of upgrades id go
quiver
hellfire ring <- keep farming for a better one
manticore <- upgrading this is tricky because it's hard to tell whether u want dex, 2 soc, or dps, best way to find out is to shift click link a bunch of ones, make a game and compare them to see which one gives u the higher dmg boost, make sure u take out the emeralds on ur current manticore since the linked items dont come with emeralds... to figure out wat they should give u once u socket them, put one socket in ur current and see the diff, i know this sounds confusing but for ex:

u have manticore A equipped with no emeralds, u have manticore B linked and it says it gives u +5k dmg, u put an emerald into manticore A and then reclick manticore B, now it says -15k dmg, so that one emerald gave u a 20k dmg boost, if u were to socket the manticore B it would actually give u 5k + 20k dmg boost, this is useful when comparing 1 soc manticores to 2 soc manticores

Brief background. I bought D3 the 25/05 and played it for the first month when everything was new and 'everything was viable' so to speak. I stopped playing because I simply didn't have time.
Now I am back and I just finished Hell and got to level 60, where the good part should start. So, in other words my knowledge of D3 today is extremely limited. Extremely.

Anyway, I am looking for advice on all fronts. Updated guides, what to upgrade, where to level, what skill set to have*, what weapon is the best (just bought a 1221 dps windforce for 20k in the ah) to use, etc.
I know DHs can be expensive but I am looking to invest as I get the money (only 650k igg atm), but I do want my DH to be able to take a hit or two (not that it can take more anyway :D). Glass cannon builds are not that enjoyable for me.
My goal is to one day experience d3 ubers and mp10. I am aware it'll take a while.

There's Plenty to be upgraded/improved and I know it but I am outdated in regards to priority of stats in each and every item.

These links still show up with the old crossbow I had so it might take a bit while it shows the windforce I bought.

I think you should go for nataly armor+boots, andariels visage, vile ward, dead man legacy, manticore, rings with crit chance + crit dmg/dex/ias, gloves same as rings, bracers with crit chance vita dex and all ress. With 10m igg you can make dh with ~80k dps 400ress and 40k life with can easly make mp0 alk runs in good time

Only thing I'm not willing to change is from the Legacy Nat's set. Must maintain 4-piece :).

My biggest issue is that things do not die fast enough. I'd like to be able to quickly farm MP1-3, but MP3 can be pretty tough and I end up kiting all over the place and dying sometimes (yes, even w/ perma-gloom)

I'm wondering if I should switch to maybe a decent Manti? Or what your thoughts are on the best bang for the buck upgrade at this point. I tried on a friend's Manti and gained ~35k dps. I didn't get a chance to play with it though so not sure how I'd like it.

If i were u, id buy some igg with 2k fg, it should get u around 55m....650k gold is simply not enough to do anything, by spending just 2k fg it's not too much of a loss if u decide to quit d3, so just buy enough decent gear so u can plow through mp0 to feel like a god, but have a challenge in mp2 so it doesnt get boring, and get anal raped in mp5+ to set ambitions

with ~50m, u can build a dh for mp0-1 speed farm

windforce is a good defensive weapon

once u get more vit and ar on ur gear, u can switch out perfectionist for tact adv and boar for bat for more efficient speed runs

google alkaizer runs, those are the basic speed farming routes, most ppl modify them in their own way, i add in rakki bridge and keep lvl 3





id go with dex/vit/1soc manticore

i dont really like calamity, the only reason why ud want one is for the mark of death, but mark of death is only good in team games, at which point id just pick it up in my skill tab with grim reaper or death toll rune, when soloing applying mark of death to 1 trash mob in a crowd of 10 is pointless, applying it to 1 blue elite forces u target that one, which i dont like cuz i shoot whoever's closest to me, im not gonna run through the other 2 blues just to hit the marked one, so it's only usefulness is when it's applied on a yellow elite

so for the same price of a calamity u can get a manticore that will add say 20k dmg,
@ 150k dps with calamity u'll do 150k x 1.12 = 168k dps to yellow elites
whereas if u switch to manti, u get 170k dps to all

I bought windforce because it was the cheapest 1k+ dps weapon I found yesterday on the AH. But I can change for something more offensive. Manticore?

Also, atm I have 92% mf (only two levels of paragon and with 5 stacks). Without sacrificing too much, what piece of equipment should I look for that comes with some mf?

Edit: Also, is there a reason why Andy's instead of mempo of twilight? I get a lot of molten/mortar elites so I'm just thinking, wouldn't andy's make me weaker against them?

I have a friend with a lowbie demon hunter and I want to help them out. I have 10-20m I'm willing to dish out on their character to try and help upgrade it and I want the most bang for my buck. To me, it looks like upgrading the weapon would be the greatest focus, but I'm not sure what to concentrate on. If anyone is able to help, please let me know
