it would increase DPS but I wouldn't focus too much on this.

I just thought i'd ask for some input on what to upgrade for my monk.

I feel like my dps is a bit low and i would like to up it a bit, but don't really know what to upgrade with. Should i change the weapons to something else?
I have 900@ and about 1200 loh atm. I can kill in mp5-6 but it takes a while and i would like for it to be a little smoother than it is.
Any suggestions?

nah any element is fine. Just to get the most out of your soj, you'd have to use a "black" element dam weapon which are the ones that dont have any element (they are raw min to max dam mods). So technically having a weapon that has +arcane dam/lightning, etc wont get the full benefit of the 5-6% from that soj mod but it still applies a bit. But dont worry about it too much unless your some crazy rich guy that has access to the best of the best stuff.

Just got back to this game few days a go....I know most if not all my items are outdated and need upgrading but what should I focus on first? and what is really bad that can be upgraded for cheap and provide a big boost in dps / survilability!

Maybe a similar ammy with vit, or shoulders. Got about 30 mil to work with now. Farming my way there.

Looked into Tal Rasha's chest for similar dex/sta/resist/3soc and ias?
Maybe nats helm with os/cc and nat's boots for a little dps boost
you could get a much better bracer too, one with 150dex and similar other stats. Or a lacuni's but those are always expesive as hell.

Hmm no haven't actually thought about that, gonna try it in my next run and see how it turns out.. I was about to replace thunderclap with it, somehow didn't even think i could actually replace healing with that
