whats the smartest upgrade for me? please start with the cheapest. im trying to archon.

I know this is an old post but would like to clear up any confusion.

This is NOT true.
- Sheet DPS is true dps.
- With a black weapon you'll get about 11% dps increase on a 6/6/6 trium
- With an elemental weapon you'll get much less, about 6 or 7%, this is because the +%bonus only applies to MIN physical damage TWICE.

k so given that, how do you feel about using a socketed echoing fury for a cheaper starting item on a wiz with a 6/6/6 +3xx trium?

Should be able to finish my wizard to 60 tonight and have been gathering pieces along the way but having a hard time finding a decent rare with flat or black damage, but I noticed that open socket 190+ int 1k+dps echoing furys are fairly cheap.

This is true. My trium gave me like 12% out of 16% total with a black weapon. It was around 7% with an elemental based weapon.

well I would consider a 190ish int 10xx dps open socket with no base crit chance pretty starter, they pop up farily regularly for like 10-15mil

one mistake that I'm already regretting is I wanted to use 2 piece zuni so I ran out and got a nice chest and ring combo before doing any research whatsoever ( I hadnt even seen the new tals chest) so now I'm thinking of back pettling and doing that.

Has anyone tried tal ammy/chest for the 2 pc bonus and then ran zuni ring/boots? Using that zuni combo scares me a little since I would otherwise pick up some 220+int ice climbers with move speed. I need to find a dps calc that works decent enough since I'm not sure how that combo would compare assuming I'm using a black damage weap such as echoing fury...curious if an average roll zuni boot could come close to climbers. Plus theres the 130int bonus from the zuni boot combo AHHHH so much math flying in my head. My monk was so much easier to figure out!!! lol
