Only way I could see blind being worthwhile is if they removed the cool down

beacon of ytar takes about 2-3 seconds off the wait, though that dosnt seem like much, just about every 6th cast would be your 5th cast with out it.

another thing i like to do is use its burst dmg for sniping annoying targets quickly, like the trees in act 1 or flame spiders in act 2 or the fat goats in act 3, just fot/tc lock them then blind and kill when ever they show up to the mob and get annoying. it also helps alot with burst dmg vs gobs.

What's ur dps? I have no issues with my 100% uptime buff damage against these people... Swapping breath of heaven for blinding flash would only be a 15% bonus in small intervals.

Edit, even with ytar that's 25% uptime, so overall that's a 7.5% damage reduction...

its not really comparable as some of the time that your breath of heaven is up your not going to be using it on anything, while your more than likely only using blind when your allready or about to be attacking a monster.

like as theres a 15 second cool down, if you spend 10 seconds getting from one pack to the next with minimal use of the 15% breath bonus, your only missing out on about 5 seconds of cool down.

after doing the math on 18 seconds assuming continued dmg and 300k dps with breath, wkl, and spammed overawe, its 9100k blinding flash no breath vs 9500k breath of heaven no blinding flash or 505k vs 527k average dps over the 18 seconds,

so all in all the breath of heaven blazing wrath does provide slightly more dps for continued dmg like say ubers, but all in all, i find the versatility of being able to stop monsters mid charged attack, and choosing when to use the burst dmg as being a comparable benifit to the slightly more dps of blazing wrath, making both skills equally good and more a matter of preferance and not one being an obivious choice over the other.

I could see blind for someone who's primary damage was wave of light, my setup I'd defiantly say breath.

Blind would be epic with even like a 7 second cool down

are you guys total noobs?
blinding flash adds way more than 30%, it's based on the active weapon's dmg and aps, for example I have 2.1 aps with both weapons and it gives me +57% or +69% depending which weapon is the active. (and it's even better with the +15% ias bonus from hundred fist)
if you have 2.5 aps, your average dps is the same as with boh (but since it takes like 3-5 seconds to kill most elite packs with blinding flash and you can also time it well against white mobs, it's way better than boh)
plus the cc lasts for 3 seconds since they fixed the cc effects in inferno (0% cc reduction at start, +10%/1sec cc which decays over time)

if you have ever fought with a fast hellhide tremor pack with and without blinding flash, you know that it's way better than boh

I'm big attack speed for sweeping wind, low overall wep damage... 2.7 aps... So it'd be reduced for me.

I'd use it if it didn't have so much cool down

Edit: also like I said more effective for a WoL primary monk who would be using more wep damage and less speed

Every piece of desirable gear in the game is the exact same, just with different numbers. I'm sure you know what stats are good and which aren't by now.
