Can some explain the importance of the cold soj for the barb built, aside from the huge dmg to elites why would it be better over say a 300 stat ring with trifecta?

Cold dmg slows enemies.

i have 54% ias from gear and a +.24 EF but my attacks/second say 2.48 - and that's with my enchantress follower!
am i missing something? i thought i only needed like 34% ias from gear to hit 2.5

we are talking about in WOTB since you should be in WOTB for 95% of your runs.

profile hasn't updated, i'm using mainhand 1h mace and offhand 0.24 EF

and if i have too much ias, i guess i should try what you said and drop witching hour for IK belt...
hate giving up the dps but then i can stop using bloodthirst passive
