I have 2.32 attack per sec. You mentioned anything above 2 is useless. Is it because I should only be fast enough for two skills cast per sec? But is the speed cast of lightning shocks taken into consideration since it can be spammed at a really fast speed.

i try too always upgrade my badest in gear slot and look whats on the ah i buy only good parts like 100 int+ 100 vit + 40+ allres 100-300lifereg items, rings with int vit allres lifereg aspeed same amu, boots with int vit allres lifereg runspeed, weapon with high int vit sock, offhand with max arcan power int vit, gloves ias int vit allres lifereg

i think with 500allres a3 mobs hit me fpr like tel:4000-8000 and a4 10000-force armor reduce

What's your attack per second? Also, the damage of your weap and orb? Very nice dps you got.

I really wish that I could edit my original post right now, but oh well.

I use this build and it works great. Do you recommend a 1h+orb over 1h+shield or 2h? My stats right now are 38k hp, ~600 all res, 20k dmg and I'm getting my ass kicked in Act II. What should I upgrade to be able to progress?

1H and an orb with high damage is preferable. You're okay for defensive, but your DPS is way too low to be efficient without spending innumerable hours jumping through A2. Find a better weapon, find a better off-hand (around 100-350 damage), and make sure you have at least 2.0 attack speed.

Very nicely written!
Thanks for your time/effort.
Cheers

EDIT: could you maybe mention the role of INT in the damage output? i'm still not sure wether i understood what mutliplies what etc...ty!

EDIT2: is it just me or is there no way to search explicitly for "+dmg" on off-hand items in the AH? Pretty lame :/

1. Each point into Intelligence adds 1% to your overall damage. I cannot go into more detail, as DPS includes all sorts of damage-increasing variables (like critical chance and critical damage) that would force me to actually perform math--which I hate with all my being. Let it just be said that each build reacts to Intelligence differently and that you need to test it out personally for best results.

2. I've tried, and there really isn't. However, I've found that skulls provide the best damage.

i switch out diamond skin cause its become pretty much useless when u have high hp and get a 16k hit, theres 20k absorb nothinf u better have teleport with illusion passive, for passive i switch the one with reg for illusion

for a1/a2 if i rush i still go diamond skin cause i get lower dmg than 16k

Yes, I have stated beforehand, this guide was meant for those struggling in Inferno--not those that have spent millions upon million (or thousands upon thousands of fg) on gear.

Low Hp requires Diamond Armor, while high doesn't.

Despite the potential speed of you primary attack (in this case, orb), more speed will not increase your performance enough to matter. After you hit that 2.0, more will not impact how you play. Your on-screen DPS will be higher, I suppose, if you're going for something that useless; but you won't be killing champion packs any faster. --The everyday Champion pack is spawned in such a way that doesn't allow for much offensive action, aside from Hydra and Blizzard.

Once you feel safe to switch out one of the skills (like Diamond Armor or Blizzard), you can; but until you can safely clear A3/4, you really shouldn't. Your death would occur too often.

Yes, on dozens of different topics. There was never a guide, only answers to questions.

(Well, there was one, but it was for before the nerf.)
