For that difficulty. Make staff for Normal, play as much as you want in normal. But you have to make a different staff for each difficulty.

I hear that you can upgrade staves if you have the right items (or gold, i dont remember), and it would change it from norm to nm, or nm to hell, hell to inferno... is this true? Also, i'm guessing you need to get all ingredients from the same difficulty you want to make the staff in, correct?

AFAIK the recipe ingredients are found in different locations in different difficulties. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, you have to collect all the ingredients, you can't have them traded to you. I think...

You can upgrade the staff to nightmare for 200k, hell 500k and inferno 1mio no additional ing. required afaik.

question, the recipe that you could buy off the quartermaster after killing izzy, is it the one that upgrades the current norm staff or is it the plan that allows you to make it with the pieces you collected?
