I'm going to upgrade my friend's monk with 100 million gold budget.

I have something in my mind but any advice on him?

I posted a few days ago, but I was able to get some gold and upgrade my monk. What should I focus on now? Also, I die whenever I get into a fight with reflect or molten elites, what's the best way to confront them? And, should I switch conviction/overawe to evasion/hard target in order to increase survivability?

your dps is too low to not have more LoH

Swap out tempest rush and exalted soul for flashbangs(faith in the light) and transcendence. Upgrade gems. Getting LOH on jewelry will help survive against reflect and molten(but jewelry will be better next patch so idk about doing that right away), keep overawe.
Your poison, I would highly recommend getting an andarials visage. If you dont care for a socket it will be cheaper, idk how much gold you have but you will probably want the lowest fire damage taken since ur already having trouble with molten.

How much LoH should I have? I could have around 500-600 if I use a different off-hand, but it would sacrifice around 4k dps. Is that an okay trade-off?



I'll try that out, I'm using tempest simply to get around quickly. I'll wait to upgrade my jewelry, I only have 3m at the moment so I can't make any huge impacts with big buys.

Unfortunately, I don't speak Italian. ): I'm a Roma fan from the United States.

Edit: I got my LoH up to around 500 without dropping dps, should I try to get it any higher? Or is that sufficient?

I feel that barbs aren't viable anymore to switch to. Everyone's gone to a barb for this patch, so the competition for barb gear makes even the mediocre stuff expensive. Also, I've been reading that unless you have some of the most high-end gear, WW barbs are not viable in 1.05 :/ Your switch over to a barb will probably hurt you.

Personally, I would probably spend the 15mil towards your amulet. You can get LOH there along with a few other things. I might have an extra fire res/all res/LOH/MF one I used to use... i'll update you if i find it

Upgrade all the gems? With 100 mil, you wait for the radiant emeralds to drop down to 8mil again and buy 10 of them. I think the gear is all pretty solid except for the left ring. I'd start with that after the gems.

LOH really depends on a few things:
1) your resistances
2) your attack speed
3) your play style

Time your runs with/without the LOH and see which you like better! I think 5-600 is not enough especially considering the 1.05 changes...

Just purchased Ice Climber/Inna's Radiance/New ammy/Offhand for like 65mil. Trying to get a decent Inna's pants with +40 res to finish it up. Got 2 Perfect Emeralds too.

It should be a HUGE upgrade for him. I'll update back once everything's done!

Why are people worried about 1.05 and armor? I thought they were reducing damage so it was going to be even easier even after the nerfs.
