the cyclones dmg will always be calculated with your dps at the activation time

use blind with dmg buff and activate cyclones within these three seconds, that dmg is used for the cyclones even when the buff is gone

so your full buffed cyclones even work when all your buffs are gone (as long as you keep the stacks up)

So extra dmg from blind + extra dmg from overawe will calculated into my sweeping wind / cyclone dmg.....as long as sweeping wind is up
Nice .... thats what I do from now on.

I always though after 3 secs, the extra dmg will be gone.

the overawe isnt calcualted into the cyclones dmg, read the text again: the enemies within the range take more dmg, so only if youre close enough
overawe doesnt buff your dmg, it causes your enemy to take more dmg, but still very usefull

it's actually quite a old trick... there are other things you can do with it... breath of healing: blazing wrath... that can give you an even higher boost

But the biggest "exploit" for it is to activate sweeping wind with a high DPS weapon (skorn?) after the buffs, then swap to your IAS, LOH, LS weapons. If your budget is really limited, buy the slowest 2-hander you can find (for the highest base damage), and also buy the fastest LOH dagger you can get (with no regard to DPS). You'll end up dealing about 90% of your 2-hander DPS with all the survivability of your dagger (in contrast, a non-swapping cyclone build does about 190% of DPS)

This, people like to stack dmg and pop cyclones quick but it's annoying as shit to do all the time and not really worth it IMO. But I ALWAYS blind before I put up sweeping winds. I think of it as a secondary rune synergy system - "empowered SW" in my brain, lol
