not to step out of context here but this looks like the right place, Iam new to a WD and want to create a nice firebats build that will survive inferno, mp does not matter but I will upgrade as I go to get to mp 10,
does anyone know of a web site that will relate all the info I need.
its actually quite simple:
get a skorn with int, 4+ lifesteal and as much dps as you can afford
get 4 piece zuni set for the nice set boni
get 12 or more pickup radius from your gear
get 35+ % cc from your gear and as much int and cd as you can afford, skip ias as much as possible. (only exception: witching hour.) if you approach high-end gear and exclusively use bats as your attacking skill and use a skorn, deliberately adding more ias is an option. but until the point where this might be a good idea, you will have a solid enough grasp of wds to know it by yourself.
get at least 40k life and 500 allres and 3k armor for mp1, at least 50k life, 750 allres and 3.5k armor for mp8+. dont play below mp1 because of the density buff, which is only active on mp1 and above.
for low mps, get either a good pair of innas pants or cc lacunis, for higher mps, i would settle for 12%movementspeed
must have skills:
cloud of bats, spirit walk, soul harvest. on SW, i prefer the honored guest rune, on SH, vengeful spirit.
must have for solofarming: locust swarm with pestilence rune. this is used to pull large packs of mobs towards you, so that you can kill them easily with cob.
must have for partyplay: one out of bigbadvoodoo with slam dance, mass confusion with paranoia or hex with jinx. you can very well use two of these 3 as well if your party is well-organized.
other options: zombie charger with zombie bears, particularly nice for soloplay; horrify with the armor rune particularly if you try an mp that is on the edge of your current gear level.
passive must haves:
grave injustice
gruesome feast
the third slot is up to you, the by far most common choices are spirit vessel and blood ritual.
in the last 30 or so pages of this thread, many experienced wd players have posted links to their chars, so it might be a good idea to have a look at them. preferably those of people who regularly post in this thread.
also note that wd is a quite gear-independent class if you play on low mps and are skilled correctly.
