working for me now too.

so I need an opinion. would a slow 1.2 attack speed main hand be better for the overall damage... possibly losing 4% sheet damage in the process?

Any opinion on this?

Bigger crits worth sheet dps loss?

If you are fine with aps loss in playing, go with 1.2.

Both are fine. Depends on your style.

Personally, I like lower APS on my monk if my sheet dps remains constant.

So, for example, I'll take a 2100 mace over a 2100 sword any day. Why? Spirit regen (and reduced resource cost). Slower attack speed means that my LTK are spread out over a longer period of time. Longer peroid of time means more spirit generated. More spirit generated means that I can still LTK without having to use as many of my lower-damage primary attacks, thus putting out more effective dps. This same logic applies to any build/class that involves limited, regenerating resources. This logic does not apply to barbs as more aps means more resources, thus making ASI a somewhat desirable stat on them.

Now that the days of unlimited resources effective dps is important.

Obviously some amount of asi is necessary, but hey, that's what RRoG, gloves, and dual weilding are for.

i dunno man, unless u got bunch of spirit regen gear, the natural regen isn't that great

id prefer faster attack, it allows for better grasp of battle situations

for ex when opportunities present themselves, either offensive or defensive and the window will only last 2-3 seconds, quickly getting some spirit up allows u to take advantage of said situation, where if ur attacking slowly ur going to miss a lot of these windows

besides when playing low torment, u can one shot trash mobs with 1 cyclone with mysticism, so ur kill speed will depend on how quickly u can activate that passive

I'd say faster attack speed is better for spirit regen... I don't see how it wouldn't be...?

my current monk upgrades : sunkeeper, new amulet, devastator wep.
http://www.diabloprogress.com/hero/attila-2667/Knight/14325100

i can kill elite groups on t2 within 2sec. I prefer t2 most because for some reason it's the only torment I have found the most legendarys
sometimes I see 38-40mio LTK crits, but the average is between 25-30mio

lacking a few fire dmg % due to low rolls on my items. propably will improve them in the future.
tbh still trying to farm innas set for lightning monk but havent found a single piece yet :D

I have tried this build aswell, it works quite well but that blinding flash helmet is a must have imo
