hmm, i think it is obvious by now that firebats work very well when playing in a competent party. but how viable is a firebats build for solofarming?

Bear still beats Firebats with Solo farming.
Also it's depends on your play style.
If you like to face tank mobs > Fire bats.
I like to use my dogs as a shield while I spam Bears from behind them.

Wow man a real bummer to hear about this.

I can understand your account initially getting locked for having 100b of recently duped gold on it, but for them to essentially tell you to go fuck yourself by trying to explain to them that you accepted the gold before knowing about any exploit is disheartening to say the least.

My suggestion is to keep trying. Blizz Support was probably instructed to not work with any recently locked accounts after this debacle. After some time passes, I would bet you'd get through to someone who is willing to help you.

Anyone using that?

Seems like it gives a little more survivability

I also know it doesn't crit.. so does it do significantly less dps than cloud of bats?

when i do solofarming, i use plague bats as a complemental skill to bears which are my main damage dealers. the advantage of plague bats over cloud of bats: higher range and applies DoT, which is extremely helpful against mobs that like to run away. the disadvantage is that they do less damage, but the damage difference isnt as huge as one might think. Im not even sure if plague bats cannot crit or if crits of them are simply not shown with yellow numbers. i have seen white numbers exceeding 1 mil, while my cloud of bats crits for at most 1.7 mil. you also have to think that the DoT of plague bats makes their damage much more steady, compared to CoB which stops its damage the second the mob runs away or you are interrupted.

so my personal opinion: if firebats are intended as your main damage dealer, go for CoB. if they are a support skill, go for PB.

So, I tried solo run just for fun this morning.

The build is on my profile. I use this same one for party game too.

I go to field. Use locust to gather up everything. Facetank and kill everything including white mobs/charging beast shit/elites/kw/trees, literally everything fast with spamming SW/CoB/Vengeful. GL resets everything so fast that you like CM wiz. Spam all these shits non stop with zillions of mobs around you.

If you do it right your white numbers are about 4.5 m per tick. I think they tick faster than aoe bats too

im using bear/plagued bats

used to use bear/cob but imo, you should decide between these 2, they got like the same purpose in farming, so why using both? somehow i felt like pulling mobpacks together, going into the middle and spam ur maindmg skill, on those acts zbear is faster because of the few more range ure hitting, just personal opinion. also, if you get interrupted by thos chargers a1 or any knockback elite, there is still a bear animation that eventually saves life by keep lifestealing, CoB immeditialy stops there.

so i decide to go bear, and secondly plagued bats for fucking fast moving elites or wallers where its hard to hit with bears

and plagued bats do crit, its just caclulated in another way, youll always see white numbers. at least this is what ive heard
