I was farming them earlier today with 35k dmg pretty easy using spam zombie bears runs were taking me around 45 minutes but i was really focused on not dying due to repair costs.But in my personal opion either group farm act 2 gobs or solof arm with over 250 mf is pretty good also getting about 2 to 3 rares per gob kill with 297 mf with templar.

How are you still using zombie bears they seem to be bugged for me

40kdps zombie bear doctor here... 5 stack cydaea/azm ez.... will be satisfied when they fix zombie bear pathing.... it's the only thing holding me back!

Any better builds out there? Anyone here using a big 2h weapon.. with like ~1400 damage on it?

What are your stats? I just got to lv 60 and my stats are 3.5k armor 19.7k dps 32k hp 280-360 all res. I'm using a slow 2 Hander for my zombie bear build.

Sometimes yes they bug but i can kill the non champion packs quite easy with my dmg and when i get to one i just pop fetish army rain dance big bad food stand on them and blow them up with zombie bears. ID say 50 percent of the time i do this procs spirit vessel and other times they die before it procs while i utilize my spirit walk to take less dmg.

I'm not the 40 k but i'm around 36k using zombie bear build in inferno.

Some post 1.0.3 build ideas:

Seems all builds are still viable, even more now.

IAS wasn´t nerfed itself, it still increases DPS a lot, it´s just more expensive/harder to get into extremely high ammounts. Actually, plagued monsters won´t resist poison dmg anymore, which make things easier for splinter builds.
People with act 3/4 on farm with splinters are reporting equal or easier play.

Reduced damage from mobs made Bears more viable, since it requires melee range (ignoring the bugged bears for a moment). Also made balanced builds easier to play, except that people with cheap IAS rings like me might switch to int/crit hit/crit-dmg and go away from splinters. Less dmg also made tank doctor builds far easier due to reduced mob dmg, and consequent need for less expensive gear, which was actually the biggest drawback of the build.

New boss enrage timers might possibly hurt tank builds with too low dps, although from what I hear so far this isn´t much of a problem.

All in all it seems they were good changes.

I will myself move away from glass cannon, I don´t want to fight Blizzard.

For offensive spells I might try batman, not sure yet. Maybe loucust+haunt, or full dots with bats+locust.

Zombie Charger - Zombie Bears
Horrify - Stalker

Big Bad Voodoo - Slam Dancer
Fetish Army - Devoted Following
Spirit Walk - Healing Journey
Mass Confusion - Mass Hysteria

Jungle Fortitude, Vision Quest, Spirit Vessel


always keep big bad voodoo on cd, unless you know there's an elite pack next; start each pack with spirit walk -> mass confusion; fetish army is really good against elite packs but i often use it to keep vision quest active; horrify doesn't fear very well so I mostly use it for +movement speed to dodge ranged attacks or kite melee; save spirit journey for running through big packs and dodging ranged attacks

using 2 sock +125vit innas for movement speed; 18%+ movement speed is essential

ias is lousy for this build, even with vision quest and stacking +max mana I run out of mana... i have 44% crit chance and 288%crit dmg

tried using string of ears but couldn't justify using two items (belt and pants) without resists and in the end i kept the movement speed and dropped the melee dmg reduction... melee can't touch me anyway

How are people responding to the patch here? I've been playing the glass-cannon with 10k HP maxing DPS with 0 resitance, as everything would one shot me?

Do you reckon it's gonna be more viable now to stack res and abit of vit, or does everything still one shot you? I would still stick with a Dart build with tons of CC spells though, i think.
