so... I'm feeling pretty weak, and I know my DPS is low. I can make it through A1 and partly though A2, but I'm feeling pretty underpowered in A2. I usually survive well, but it seems like sometimes I just go down really fast, and I'm not sure why. I'm looking to buy upgrades, but I'm not sure where my money would be best spent -- or what exactly I should be looking for. Here's the big mural of my unbuffed stats, and my gear:




my skills are pretty standard tanking skills, the 3 defensive passives
1 - leap - 300% def
2 - charge - 8% max health per enemy hit
3 - ignore pain - 7 sec
4 - warcry - 50% resist
LC - frenzy - sidearm
RC - revenge - 30% proc

I'm thinking I should swap out some defense for offense, but I don't think WotB will benefit me much with my low DPS. I'm thinking part of my problem is low aps, but I dunno. Any tips? :-\

guys i cant decide whether to use andy's visage or hoc..
and if i get andys visage, would it be better to get one with 150+ str and some vit?
or 110+ str with a soc?

Agreed but I would focus on fire -> arcane -> poison. Physical resist doesn't work vs. melee attacks, only spells. It's really good vs. belial since all his green things are physical spells.

Basically, physical is useless except for bosses.


whatt is this true? ;/ i feel like adding more phys res reduced damage from melee attacks for me ;/
if it isn't then dang i've been doing it wrong lol

depends on your total vit and how much a vit andys would give you, but the socket gives you 14+% life, which is like 120+ vit ;]

work on getting more strength, and crit stats. you should aim for 30+% crit and 200+% crit damage at least, as well as 1300+ str while maintaining your resists. wotb would replace charge

should I swap out one of my def passives for the 5% crit 50% crit dmg one? Which one? I feel like superstition is invaluable for elem damage at my current resist level. Just toss the armor skill that gives me less? I'll look for str/res/crit gear, I suppose. How's my loh and aps? I'm trying to find a better weap, but those tend to be the costliest upgrades. So I don't wanna spend all my cash on a single upgrade, when I could get more bang for my buck elsewhere. Will that weap do for now?

I also feel like I sometimes overvalue vit. With appropriate defense, what's a good health level to be sitting at?

I'm pretty sure it is. Someone posted in the barb thread on bnet forums where they got this info from. I've been trying to dig it up, but the barb discussion has been spammed with trade topics...

I take it attack speed means nothing/little?

What's a choice amulet? Is a mid str/450+ loh ammy sufficient?
Or do I need to stack criticals like crazy And focus on resis?
