Otherwise just give him a ton of vit gear

Buriza is great for scoudrel

But rares are fine

If you want a crowd control go with Enchantress, giver her Maximus weapon for an extra demon pet.

Skills:

Charm - crowd control, can be used against elites/champions
Powered armor - extra armor (Or your preference, Missile ward - less damage against range)
Disorient - crowd control, can be used against elites/champions
Mass Control - Best crowd control skill from a follower. Hex a group of mobs, can be used against elites/champions (As a WD/Bears this is a better choice over Focus Mind).

Haven't tried Scoundrel but I saw some HC players using them in higher MP's.

Yeah it is.
So far the Demon only de-spawns and I have not seen it die yet. A very good tank.
The chain that links the Enchantress and the demon also deals some damage like the Fire Chain.

I've got around 1 bil to play around with for making my new WD, so it has no gear at all. I want to go for a zombie bear build that will be viable for bats too, since they kind of use the same gear. I don't have any clue how to gear a WD though, are there any good zombie bear 1.0.7 / 1.0.8 fire bat guides lying around?

Yeah, a couple pages back I've got a video on Firebats on the PTR. With the build I use. It's pretty explanatory and goes into some detail, might want to give it a watch.
