If it suits your style, just go for it. I'm enjoying my Wiz for mfing atm.

I'm looking for advice and suggestion on how to improve my wiz. Goes through hell no problem, but like most, inferno is a different story. I have around 3 mil now. Which gear should i start upgrading from first, and what mod is crucial to increase? All stats are after energy armor and weap buff.

Thank you.

Find a way to increase your HP by around 5 to 10k (which should be relatively easy, even for a little gold), and focus the rest on DPS.

You have two options:

1. Go for the ias and mobility build, where your movement speed surpasses nearly every mob you meet and your ias allows you literally twitch for a millisecond to cast Blizzard behind you.

2. Go for the more balanced choice, buying gear that will quite simply increase your dps by any means necessary--killing them before they kill you is a Wizard's job in Inferno, since there is literally no current way to tank much damage.

Browse the AH, look for gear similar to yours, but with better mods--and make sure you don't buy those overpriced items that clutter 95% of the AH.

It's more suitable than Barbarian, I suppose; but other than that, it doesn't really matter. Every char can mf just as fine as the others. Some, like the Monk, need to mf certain places to be effective, but they can still do it.

The only great thing about the Wizard/DH is that if you can learn to kite (control mobs) very well, you will need minimal gear to do well enough.

Good idea. This would mean i should just forget about res and armor, and concentrating on DPS, and vita, ensuring i kill before i get killed, with DPS being priority? Items on the AH are ridiculous. To get a 3rd useful mod on any gear costs millions.

I agree that to have high dps and nice vit and res (as opposed to only one of those) would cost too much. I was playing around with A3 with around 140 all res and 35k hp. You simply have to always be on the move, try never to get hit--predict what the mobs will do. Once you see one kind, you've seen all of that kind and can prepare yourself for their attack the next time--and be sure to pay attention to the mods on elite packs.

The sad part right now (a few weeks after release) is that any piece of equipment that looks gg sells for millions--when, in fact, it's really just shit compared to what we'll be having in a month or so.

How much more important is physical resistance? I was thinking of getting my elemental resists to MAYBE 200ish and just stacking up on the physical a bit, maybe like 30-40k Hp and just focus the rest on dps.
I found some cheap alternative that could work for weapons btw, just get one of those rares with like maybe 700-800 dps that have 200+ intelligence, they're all over the place recently and aren't nearly expensive, but a 525 dps with 200+ intelligence did more dmg then my 900 dps wand, i was like holy shit I'm missing out, and also, those intelligence weapons often come with HUGE amounts of Vitality as well, I think I might grab one.

Ya... truth be told.

Whats your DPS? You soloed act 1 and 2 of inferno with this build and 140 res, 35k hp? Sensing some hope.

Any special trick for Rakanoth on Inferno?
I mean, he just teleports into my face and then onehits me and even with Archon I have no way of killing him before he does that. That beeing said, 38k hp, 450-550 res, 52k dps.

Oh also, after I just spent hours upon hours there - fuck those towers in a3. Phasebeasts and Soullickers (or however they're called) are even worse than those stupid snakes in a2. Azmodan was relatively easy though.

I bought this cheap pair of hammer jammers for like 400k with 2os 50+ Int and 50+ vit, I'm putting 2 34+ Int topazes in em, this would put me at 18% run speed, i can get the lacuni's for that 25% but it won't have any int on them, is it worth it? It'd cost me like 900k and I'm already poor but I'll probably go for it anyways.
Thought on 18 frs to 25%?
