So if I drop both my weapons, buy a Skorn, and leave all my other gear the same, would I be able to shoot from MP7 to MP10 and still one shot trash with rend? I can't drop my pos Hellfire Ring yet, and I'm already PL 88, and I'm not sure how much money I want to drop on this guy when I want to gear another guy when I hit PL 100 ..

Sry for necroing the thread a bit, but this is the best guide I found for pure Rend/ WW build as almost everyone nowadays uses HotA for some weird reason.

I have a few questions.

Is Bloodlust (the rune that adds life leech to Rend) worth it? I have 3% LL from the Passive skill only so I thought it's a nice addition. Not sure if it's viable compared to other runes?

Also Warcry/Impunity, do I need it? I see most people use Overpower/ Killing Spree, is it worth it? I do believe I have enough EHP (525k Unbuffed) to go without Warcry, however I'm a bit scared due to only 3% LL.

Yeah I know it's supposedly good vs Elites, but I just don't see it. I find Rend is better for both trash AND elites. Maybe I just don't play properly

Use lacerate more damage.
If you can get away with using killing spree do it. Alternatively instead of war cry use crushing advance since it is more ehp than WC.
You are missing CC from 2 slots. Makes its really difficult(borderline impossible) to maintain beserker single target.
Get a Str OS CD echo. You don't need a high dps echo since a vast majority of damage is coming from Rend and RLTW which are both based on your main hand damage. A 700's with 60 CD would probably lower your epeen but it will make you more effective.

Thx. I will try to get a better EF once I save up a bit (got 20 mil atm >.>). I will also try Crushing Advance instead of War Cry. About CC, I'm ok (keep in mind I play solo/ use scoundrel all the time so +3%) and I definitely never will be anywhere close to the budget of a crit mempo

However one more question: is 3% LL enough? I'm afraid if I lose the LL from Rend rune I could be in trouble, as that shit heals like crazy while there's Rend on a pack of mobs.

Well you are missing out on a ton of dps by not using lacerate. I use andys AR 5% on my EU barb and mempo CC on US barb. You need the CC there. Andys is a better choice than Mempo no CC, it's practically a mempo minus the ehp bonus and the 5% is unnoticeable. Granted you can stack the ehp elsewhere its a good choice IMO. Andys AR 5% fire is really cheap btw. As far as 3% life steal you definitely should have 2 sources otherwise reflect with own you. I've never tried blood rune with 3% so IDK how that goes on reflect. I have read people using 3% then they kite in trash mobs to counter the reflect however this is not always manageable especially if not playing solo. You could always just carry a IK belt and swap if the situation calls for it.

I got new weapons according to your advice, including 1 with LL( http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Shadeslayer-2530/hero/9209269 ) so I'm at 5+ LL atm, which is enough to use Ravage rune on Rend. Next I will try Lacerate and see what works best. Also I use Killing Spree instead of Impunity now so I'm at 74% CC almost permanently, so I'm really ok without the CC on Helm and I prefer the EHP from Mempo to Andy, as the rest of my gear is pretty offensive oriented. I got a very nice crafted bracer and shoulder, but both very offensive and with small vit, so Mempo <3.

I can do mp10 easily now without any further adjustments, just have to decide between Ravage or Rend.

EDIT: Also my profile atm shows 118k dmg, but that's due to broken items equipped It's actually 189k sheet dps, 750k tDPS on regular mobs and 950k tDPS on Elites. Beautiful

Is skorn the best weapon for this still? If so what stats should I be shooting for and around what price range?

i hear 2x rare weps are better than skorn

i dont look for a cheap build i can afford a expensive one
