This is mostly my problem, I know a few people who play in a group and they basically voted me out (but they said it very nicely). I bring their average DPS down too much, I'm useless as a tank (which was my role when we all played Hell), and basically I'm not good enough to counterbalance the added difficulty that me joining causes.
I kind of shine with the Arcane Enchanted guys since I can just pop off Serenity when they pass over. If they're frozen or they jail, I use serenity as well, but with waller I always run out of panic skills...

I'll keep that in mind. I might give it a try. I'm currently goldfinding in Hell with 5 stacks of Valor in a 4 person game but it's not finding me enough... does anyone know how MF works? Does it average every player's MF or is it to each their own?

funny this happened to me also. i tanked NM and all of hell for my buds, but they left me in the dust on inferno because i was basically a useless char to them. now i outgear (switched to dual wield dodge monk) and have outprogressed them all and they're asking me for help. lulz

yeah you get no more loot in a 4 person game. you see the same amount of loot/gold as you would in a solo game

Omg I had the same experience lol. I was joking about it to my friends near the climax of hell since they would get decimated without me up front, and then go figure, I got owned hard in inferno! Starting to surpass that threshold as well. Gear needs a little improvement still though

has anyone tried a Retribution build ?
With this regen + spirit regen + life regen on spirit spent + high VIT + 60% retribution aura (spammed to 80% with skills to regen spirit) ?

Might work in inferno... just too expensive.

I'm really glad to hear you guys have progressed beyond the people who left you in the dust... I'm looking forward to doing that. The problem is that they're all sharing gear and I'm basically Mr. Solo stuck in A4 Hell to farm gold. I'm at a serious disadvantage, gear-finding-wise, since the team consists of a monk, DH, and WD... So when I was with them that became 2 monks. Any good dex-survival gear goes to the monk or DH, with me left to fend for myself at this point scavenging good deals off the AH.

So for farming gold is it better to do a4 hell rather than killing elite mobs and butcher in a1 inferno?

They both seem the same to me only i find tad better drops when doing butcher.

The amount I spend on repairs in Inferno to get 5 stacks makes it hardly worth the effort. For me it's easier to breeze through A4 Hell with 5 stacks, finishing and restarting after Diablo. Item drops suck but the gold is very nice.

would be interesting to try out. the main factor would be does it take into actual damage account damage taken, or damage delt? (i.e. after armor/resistances or before)

yeah you really shouldn't worry about getting 5 stacks until you can easily farm an area. when i am progressing i'm constantly switching up my builds and remaking games to get easier elite packs.

Hell farms can be nice for rings/amulets, i got some sexy drops (tho nothing tooo great i guess) from there. If yoz want more gold you can always get some gear with gf.. even on nm its worth it, im running around with 265 gf and gold drops nicely. Boring tho, gonna do inferno again :). If i get the items i bought in ah tho - got me nice stuff, paid for it, items are loggex yet they are nowhere to be found :(
