I voted for: The storyline/quests(the longer the better?)
The storyline is secondary, but the quests matter a great deal to me. I want a ton of lengthy optional quests, so that I still have something to do after completing the game. If you don't have any quests to do, then PvM is pretty much limited to grinding (MFing/levelling), which is boring. With quests to do, it takes your mind off the fact that you're grinding, and breaks the monotony (so in other words, you can level up and MF, and still have fun, rather than running the same monsters/bosses over and again). Of course, you'll always have PvP too, but I personally like both PvP and PvM, and I'd like to sink a lot of time into PvM before jumping into PvP.
With the quests, monsters, bosses, characters, combat, and so on, in place, the story is just an added bonus IMO, but a pretty big bonus at that, as I believe it can make a good game into a great game.

that's what I call an instructive opinion
