I'd like some advice on some skills to use and general insight into playing my Wizard. It is unlikely I'll be doing any upgrading or sinking any more gold into this toon, so I'd like advice on how to make my gear work for me so to speak.
I wanted to play a Wizard similar to a frozen orb sorcy from D2, that doesn't seem possible? I don't have enough APOC or IAS to run a build like that correct? Is there some sort of middle ground where I can still be using a frost based wizzy? I really want to play as frost, but, I don't want to regear and play a CM type wizard. Other frost builds viable with my gear?
Right now self-buffed I have - 58k HP / 5k Armor / 200k DPS / 800 AR. That only leaves me a few skill spots (both mouse buttons and #1, as 3 skills are essentially buffs). What is a type of fun build that I could revolve around using a primary and secondary skills and one additional. I feel like I should be able to have fun with this, but, I don't seem to find any of the abilities that powerful. This character feels significantly weaker than my 145k DPS bears/acid WD.
If I go into Archon mode, I have 200k DPS / 58k HP / 1200ish AR / 7k armor. However, my character still feels weak. I'm having trouble in archon form solo'ing MP5, I don't get kills fast enough to keep it up. When not in Archon mode, I feel super weak, have arcane power problems and generally feel incapable of solo'ing mp5.
I feel like I'm not maximizing my characters potential. Some insight would be helpful, thanks. My goal is to be able to play mp5 with ease.

other skills are buffs and archon regens.
skorn lowers archon cost from disintegrate.
EDIT: i can run mp7 easily.
