Anyone try out a Backlash monk with lots of dodge to heal off of it as a focus?

MoE with backlash is actually my favorite mantra. The AOE dmg is pretty nice with it on. I think lifesteal works with the backlash to heal back life, but I just like it for the additional dmg not for extra healing.

I can farm a3 pretty efficiently but I die a couple times here and there...always to elemental stuff. I read about people standing in desecrate with worse defensive stats than me which to me is mind boggling...desecrate drains my health pool so fast. Anyways, I only die if I misstep an ice blast and get frozen in something, or cornered, etc. Always mobility issues.

What are my next logical upgrades? I don't think I can do without the shield, I feel so squishy without it. I was using a dodge-backlash build for a while but I hated it. 76% dodge and I still died and it took forever to kill stuff. But, would it make sense for me to get a good LoH offhand (I have a Won but it's only 250ish LoH)? I've got about 13m gold.

i picked up d3 few days ago with a naked 60 monk and like 2k. i can solo a2 inferno decently but i get demolished in a3 (470 res ish)

i dont have much money (4m). what would be the best upgrade? should i get loh?

Use Thunderclap. When you get stuck or positioned in a position where you don't want to be in, just hold shift and click on the mob that's on the edge of the pack. You will teleport to that mob and run away. It should save you so many times.

And instead of Ways of hundreds fists, just use blinding flash. It can be used as an offensive skill for burst dmg OR as a defensive skill for OH SHIT button.

These two skills should save you a lot.

And get a faster weapon. Faster hitting means you are procing more LOH per second.

If you are comfortable with hit and run type of kiting against nasty elites, you should definitely go dual wield. More dmg/if you would like, more LOH as well. I'm not much of a LOH monk, so I would recommend you to start stacking some crit dmg.

Good luck. 13mil gold is more than enough for you to upgrade a lot of stuff. Just take your time.

Start stacking one elemental of resistence. The armors can be upgraded for pretty cheap. I would try to upgrade your armors with 2mil.

And use the other 2mil to upgrade your weapons.

some dex

Iso opinions on what I should change in the near future, basically I finished to purchase items 2 days ago but I'm sure shoulders can spawn with higher dex / vita, better amu and better right ring, anything else?

/edit; I'm also looking for a better inna's radiance, need it with 180+ dex 60+ vita all res or light res with spirit reg, ofcourse 6% crit but I only seen one and i fucking lost the bid! =(

that is a really nice monk, gonna be hard to upgrade that. only thing i can think of is it looks like you stacked a shit ton of crit % but not much dmg. I was doing the same thing on my monk and by using a dps calc i was able to find some nice damage upgrades for cheaper than what i already had. here is a link if you have not seen one
