I keep reading about Blizz wanting to nerf cm wiz (and WotB)
Will 3.01 and 60 cc be safe if they lower proc rates again ?

Just rumours. I wouldn't do anything untill the new patch notes are out.



very solid char. The weakest part is apoc - 17 must be slowing you down in some situations. I wouldn't go for anything other than 20 apoc if i were to play 2 apoc pieces. CC is also on the lower side. Depending on the budget, squeeze like 4 more cc out of left ring, source (10 cc 10 apoc 8 ias), lacunis, maybe mempo if you got gold. Get tal chest with 30 more res too.

I put her together over the past two days and I think I probably overpaid on most items because I get really impatient. Anyways, it hits the 2.74 bp, but I'm not quite sure where to go from here. I can run up to mp4-5, but the fat dudes in weeping hollow hurt a lot, even with diamond skin on. Anything higher and it's too slow for my taste.

I understand the tick bps but what are the other min base stats in order to facetank mp7+?

What would you swap out first, given a fiddy million gold pieces budget? I don't really want to spend too much more than that since she's not my main, or second, or third.

I am no expert ... here are some advice that worked for me

res 550 ...... 700+
life 47K ...... good try for 50K+
armor 3500 ... 4500+
dps 122K ..... 170+ for mp10
apoc 19 ..... good
loh 843 ....... good
ehp 300k ..... 450K+
cc 50 ......... good, try for little bit more

To add armour, try crafting shoulders with + armour or get a cheap VW with similar stats
Get rare ring with avg dmg, vit, all res, armour, cc, ias for more dmg & ehp
I have + armour on chest, ammy, lacuni, VW, boots

I can farm mp10 comfortably ... thanks to all the advice I got here.
I can face tank the fat dudes in WH that blows up and only lose about 2/5 life ... LoH fills up quick to full.
Also charging bulls in A1 hits me for about 2/5 life.
I can facetank mp8 Azmodan no problems (haven't tried mp10 Az yet) I'll try him tonight with 3.01 aps
MP10 Ghom is no problems.

I noticed the same thing with my wiz.
Normal mp10 farming feels pretty good.
But I tested with mp10 ghom last night and felt a hugh difference with kill speed.

My monk can do ghom in about 35ish secs.
Wiz with 2.74aps was 1 min 25ish secs.
Wiz with 3.01aps was 1 min 45ish secs.

For fifty millions get wh with all res + armor and tal chest with all res + armor. Get armor + huge vita blackthornes as a budget vita booster. 19 apoc is ok-ish, could use extra mitigation on slots like amulet, lacunis, gloves.

Can someone tell me what gears I should get for a CM Wizard with about 1 billion budget?
