I'm thinking of scrapping LOH completely on my monk, seeing as I'm beginning to push much more dps than when I bought Ouroboros. Would that be a good decision?

Also, could I drop some more resistance to get more dps, and how low could I go? Could I go to something like 600 all res + 30k hp with 75k+ dps unbuffed, or would that be too low?
Lastly, does anyone have a nice rule of thumb regarding crit chance / crit damage ratio?

I'm pretty much smashing through act 3 as is, but I would really like to push 100k dps, seeing as I've been quite lucky with drops lately I could sell for a good amount of gold.

go luxury and have 100k unbuff dps + 1k loh+ life steal.

go big or go home. The loh setup is more for when you party play cause monsters get more hp and u need the loh to sit in battle longer. Your gonna get bored solo playin after how many solo runs lol then get tempted to play wit some friends.

Seconded. I'm only at just over 40kdps unbuffed with 5.8% lifesteal, but it just starts to outpace loh for high dps builds (obv). Also it works more favorably with Cyclone, which is why I switched over.

My experience with 40k unbuff dps, It was not enough for me with lifesteal yet, versus elite.

you need loh to sit in battle when in full game cause monsters do get a lil more hp. It's just safety measure. You wanna ensure NOTHING can kill you haha. And besides, whats wrong with gettin high loh + life steal setup on a 100k dps monk? It just only makes it that much sexier. My rule of thumb on healin factor for monks is loh + life steal is mandatory. Get both. They compliment each other so well.

yes you dont have to focus on loh when that big dps for solo play, but GO BIG or go home. Bling out that monk lol

Just recently came back for the 1.04 changes and I've changed gear up some already, but I'm not really sure what to upgrade as the prices have changed DRASTICALLY since last time I played and the desirable stats as well. I beat Act 3 today without any real problems, but I'd like to beef up before hitting act 4. I need some help deciding where I can improve without too much cost.
