SMall question, on my wd I have (lvl31) 1k dps and 4k hp
I'm at a1 nm, how long does it take before I HAVE to upgrade?

id say 45 then when you hit 60 get the big upgrades

What gear should I go for to make a bad ass WD?

At the moment, look just search for intellect, get as much as you can.

On rings gloves and amulet go for attack speed. if you can get +damage or int on it as well grab that.

On your weapon look for attack speed and high attacks per second. also try to get something with mana regen on it. for OH look for the highest damage and mana regen.

Also look for a helm with mana regen, it's not needed but recommended.

Basically: Intellect on everything, Attack speed on whatever can get it, mana regen on weap, OH and helm.

Edit: crit & crit damage is also good. Will be even better when attack speed is nerfed.

I'm looking to build my WitchDoctor to a pure pvp based build. I'm looking to go with an old D2 style play with a MaxRes/MaxBlock with at least 60k dps. I know this is a challenge and I understand that it will take quiet a bit of money, but I'm dedicated to making this work.

My biggest question is what gear is there besides helm of command and lidless would be viable for me to go with for max block/dps/resists on a witchdoctor?

I need more max block... and I'm not sure how viable my 26% shield is either..

with lidless u will have xx% chance t block 1100-1298 dam --> use better shield, maybe one with 3xxx or 4xxx block amount, good block chance, allres, intellect, vita...

With stormshield you can obtain a total of 51% block chance which I think is a bout the highest you can ever get in this game atm.

Granted. But I don't think a stormshield would be viable on a WD considering its useless mods in pvp (str and dmg. vs elites)



Can I sacrafice the IAS to increase the mitigation of the block damage itself? I'm not going vita too much either. Maybe 30-40k hp at a max.

I suppose there are a lot of DR items too.. but problem is they're broken into two different groups (ranged / melee).. I doub't I could account for all those stats and be able to produce enough dps to be viable still.

Here is my WD. I had to reroll this month, so I lost my zunimassas journey and 1k dps dagger with 11 regen / 100 int and 150 vit and am stuck with something I had before


Almost 50k dps without soul harvest / vodoo.

Not gonna lie, hell is pretty easy. May have something to do with my latest purchases.



Spent 1.5m on both. Worth it.
