Here's my dh. I'd like to know what to save for next. I dont have a lot of gold but with some farming/ah it should rise quick.
I also have a 2x manticore that deals around 980dps, but the attack speed is not sufficient. I basically switch between them.

I run a legacy build with decent ehp, so I would agree with you that there are many utility mods that help more than char sheet upgrades.

Also, would you really take a perfect rare over a perfect lacuni roll? I guess I am biased as a manticore-user (as you say, weapon choice influences build), but I would think that at an optimal level your ehp should be overkill. Lack of pick-up radius would sway my choice, however.

I'm confused about the belt comment, what are you referring to?

@rabiddonkey: all cloaks can roll max disc. Inna's chest can't.

Well think of it as wasted stats.. You are going to wear Inna's Pants + Nat's Boots so you have 12% move speed, you are getting 2 wasted stats on Lacunis and 1/2 rolls on the stats for 9% attack speed. Inna's belt has elemental damage on it which works better on non elemental damage weapons as it applies to the min/max of the weapon, I lost DPS going to a pretty high end WH on my DH (You gotta actually equip it to see the loss not just compare).

Before I rolled my DH I was around 200k DPS and 700k EHP using legacy, I loved overkill EHP as I could sit and tank everything in the game if I wanted to and put out more damage due to lack of kiting. The squishier you become to less DPS time you have, and paper doll dps doesn't matter anymore as you spend 1/2 your time running around positioning for shots.

Launis are never worth it unless you are buying basically perfect ones IMO.

They generally have the stats of wrists that are 100x cheaper (literally) and the move speed is meaningless thanks to innas and nats being pretty much best in slot for a fraction of the price.

I mean a good innas legs is like 20mil - should get a decent dex and vit roll for that because they have so many good guarenteed stats.

Nats boots are similar + set bonus ofc.

Perhaps a perfect lacuni is better than a perfect rare - but again it always comes down to what is best per gold spent - and I just don't see lacunis as EVER being the best spend of gold when you already have innas/nats for MS. Even if you had perfect ones, I'd sell them and spend that extra 1billion gold on a better manticore or something.

I guess so, just comes down to whether you want 100 vit/dex/armor over 9 asi. I use a Manticore with Inna's belt, so I lack asi, and even though I use rare bracers (I think that mid/high end Lacuni's aren't worth using), I think a perfect Lacuni's would tempt me. And I understand your point with Inna's belt, I'm just confused about where it came from lol, I don't remember bringing it up. >__>

I think that EHP on DHs is really underrated, but I find that I can tank pretty much anything with 500k. I guess 700k allows more leeway though? It does seem nice, sometimes I do miss having 70k base HP.

Next upgrade? I've saved up 90m. I'm working on replacing the Hellfire ring with a Dex one. Also, in game I have 2469 dex, not what the listed amount is on my battle.net profile.

I have ~175m getting bored of WD, think I could make a decent to good DH for this amount? If so, what numbers you think I could/should be able to pull off?

175m could get you 200k+ dps if you play your cards right.
