Removal of ah(trading) and new loot system was end for d3.

Only reason d2 is still alive is trading.
They removed trading and people didn't wanna grind anymore.

Less people

trading, ladder resets, dueling, and the option for unique builds/replay-ability.

D3 has none of that - aside from "season resets" which are useless because no dueling, trading, economy, unique builds/replay-ability.

D2 is alive for the simple reason that it's a great game. Plenty of games with trading haven't made it a tenth as long as our lord and savior D2.

I bought d3 xollectors edition on launch fmgot some sweet cosmedics played for a while till i realized what utter trash the game wqs which killed me inside i played d1 online on dial up ffs massive fan then d2 game out rocked my world then d3 comes out and walmart wouldnt take my copy back
