It was overlooked after responding to DJ. This is why i don't mind talking to you, you and I actually have a discussion on our point of view for the game.
Yeah, some people think I'm a troll but honestly, if the person I'm engaging with has good intentions and doesn't personally insult me, I will debate/converse with them all day. Regardless of their beliefs (kinda like what I'm doing w/ you). So I appreciate it as well =]

The heart of aRPG's and what makes them special is the economy aspect and the way of building up wealth. That's why I can see why this game didn't bring more happy customers, but instead left many disappoingted. I can see their perspective and why that expectations left them the way it did. I've taken games like this both directions, the direction of economy and building that wealth and using it amongst others to benefit both parties for gain. I've also found the enjoyment in doing everything on my own. I appreciate it more for example finding the rarest of items during solo play rather than more quickly getting it through trading from wealth. It's more rewarding. I did it with D2, Runescape, and other games with those advantages. That's why I enjoy D3, it has that solo expectancy about it. While the parties and trade exchanges are there to be done in your groups, it why I used the phrase D3 is an aquired taste and feel it would of been better if it was its own game and not by the Diablo franchise.
Because I can agree that when you set an example like you do in Diablo 1 & 2 you can't flip the switch like that and expect your fan and customer field to be a bigger success. They tried something very different and it didn't turn out well for everyone.
I don't disagree really, but just want to add, you can have that "found this enjoyment in doing everything on my own" part, even with a game with "diablo's 2 trading" and an economy. For example, Path of Exile has a solo self found mode that's catered just for players like that. However, I know Diablo 2 didn't have that but you could basically still play solo / private games with a password. And then zone everyone out and don't participate in trading + economy.
Yeah, it definitely can feel more rewarding. However,
it's also just as rewarding when you find an item you can sell, to get another item you want! It goes both ways! I respect both playstyles too. However, just don't understand the reasoning why D3 wouldn't have it. The problem really stems because I think a lot, and I mean A LOT of players liked the economy and were pissed off.
I mean, that's just the economy part. We havn't even discussed the PvP stuff. I know it's boring to prob talk to me about this stuff, but I just want you to know D3 can be so much better.
