PoE is already around for people who want to play something pretty similar in feel and look to D2.

Seems to me most of jsp is put off by the fact that the game has no trade, no PvP, and a pretty weak ranking system centralized around layers of RnG.

honestly its not that bad once you get used to it yea the first character I made I hated the skill tree and my character turned out to be shit (just like I was told lol) but the second time around wasn't so bad the part I have the most trouble with is the time you have to put into to get anywhere its takes forever to get to end game and that's even playing 8 hours a day you gotta spend 2 weeks to get to the end game
