Some people have their preferences, and usually with good reasoning.
D3 isn't shit anymore. It's not top tier among some other games but it by no means is shit.
That being said, with all the time spent, each patch only really values xx (maybe xxx) more hours of play time before it gets old again, which is completely understandable, the game is old at this point.
No amount of patches and changes will change that fact. However the game continues to get new features (that arguably should have been all released years ago), and continues to get better.
It has it's flaws, but by no means in my opinion is it considered shit anymore.
