i was explaining that in survability cyberni ment that with the burst dmg you get more life back per second via life steal, not only that monsters miss you for 3 seconds, something that seemed to go over both you and monksters head. though with not using anything other then what the "elitists" claim as the best, i wouldnt expect you to find your self in a such a situation where you might realize this on your own.

IMO in a fot/tc nado build, youll find faith in the light many times more useful than breath of heaven.

BF does not last 3 secs against elites in inferno
Found this on the net

"Blinding Flash with Faith in the Light - Blinding flash was great in normal and nightmare.
In Hell / Inferno, the blind is reduced to literally a FRACTION of a second.
Its useful for "interrupting" attacks only. This skill will probably be substituted today with something more useful."

see, thats the issue, the survability is in the 30% extra dmg, returning you back 30% more life steal, not the dodge. the 30% dmg lasts 3 seconds whether its a white pack or an elite pack.

if there is soemthing incredibly advantagious about the dodge part of the flash, its that it stops the enemy in its tracks. if skele king is mid WW, blinding flash and bam hes stopped. seige breaker walking words you s he digs into the ground, blinding flash and bam hes stopped. mallet lord about to crush you, blinding flash and bam hes stopped. that purp guy in act 2 road area with the giant mace, and his white counterparts, blinding flash and bam, he stops.

how do you stop an act 1 charging beast? blinding flash.

yes we can talk about how dodge is crappy and not a valuable aspect of blinding flash, but youd have to ignore the 2 other amazing aspects of blinding flash ive pointed out above.

fruthermore, im pretty sure in patch 1.0.4 or one of the later ones they changed how crowd control worked to make it more advantagious in all difficulties. sopmething to the extent of where how long it lasts is dependant on how long the monster your attacking has been under the effects of crowd control attacks. so like a monster that hasnt been affected by cc would be blinded for 3 seconds reguardless of the difficulty or monster type, though a monster thats been blinded and getting blinded again might only be blinded for 1 more second ontop of the 3 allready.

Only way I could see blind being worthwhile is if they removed the cool down
