Im searching like 30mins, cant find a spot with 2 towers close enough to each other :-/

Old news. it is FALSE that mercs & ferrets don't work. Just stand far enough into a corner where the tower is OFF screen. Test the towers range to make sure it is still shooting mobs at you before afking...

I did it many times with merc.

However, this method is insanely inefficient both the hassle/time to come back every 20-30 min (can't truely afk meaning it interrupts what you are doing very often).
Mathwise, normal farming makes 20x-30x this much in an hours time. Each afk farming session gets me about 10k-15k. Easily make that much in 1-2 min of normal farming.
Therefore i would have to do this for 10 hours, assuming i could make a full 30 min session every time to even come close to my LOW end of normal farming.

insanely inefficient when i make that much in a single hour. Who has time to sit around for 10 hours, jumping in game EVERY 30 min.
in my opinion not worth it. I tried testing this on chore weekends for 4-6 hours at a time, concluded that it was a huge waste of time.

TL;DR? While the IDEA seems lucrative, the efficiency and actual profit vs time margin is ridiculously bad... you make more money doing a 1 hour normal farming session ONCE a day.

k got some info for nm
cheap gf set with 1.5k thorns, 5x stacked NV, ferrets @ 261GF for 30 mins

started at 341k -> ended at 375k (3k repairs)
my thorn is 1.5k, random 1.1k life after each kill 1handxbow

I am at 401k, the repair is actually not 3k. my last repair was 400ish the 3k was probl from hunt for NV.

341-401k in 1 hour.

atm iam working for an inferno build works fine for me~

i study learn chat etc... and minimum 150k each hour

alright so i found a spot in nm and testing it out, i dont have that much GF

but about how much thorn is necessary for hell?

Well, I am at like 2.5k thorn with jsut 3 random pieces and it is killing extra fast in NM

4k is quite overkill there

I tried this before and got 40-50k in 1 hour (hell, 220% gf, 1 tower). But after 3 hours my ekip is at 0% Durability and I have to repair.

I've been doing this for the week, I'll set it up before I go to bed, and leave it running till I get home from work. I've been doing it on nightmare with my DH, cause on hell, as soon as my armor is destroyed, i have come home to a 'you have died' screen. Nightmare however, I havent died once. I keep the ferrets going, they havent killed the towers yet and they collect my gold. I've only got 200% GF, and in all honesty, when i get home, i've made about 200k, which aint that much. But it's free. Never been kicked though.
