Ya. I didn't know they could hack me through ah and when i got home yesturday my gold was cleaned out lol. I didn't join any public games but luckily i didnt have much gold so fuck it.

I had no clue either .Woke up logged onto D3 went to the Ah bought an item was booted not 20 sec later and DH and gold/items gone in the under 2 min it took me to realize what was happening and click the email blizz sends out when you change your pass word.

um, do you two have authenticators?

Honostly I didnt have an authenticator. Its stupid that you have to get shit so you wont get hacked.

Im not sure what people do not get but having an authenticator will NOT help you avoid this. changing you pass word is not suspicious activity and WILL NOT be flagged by Bnet. You have to actually do something off site to get a key logger or a virus. I have done nothing related to D3 beyond here and in game. I do not play open and have only played one or twice and not recently like day 2-3 the game went live. I was in the AH when I was booted and hacked this morning and I had been on line for 10-20 min before the purchase and the min I made the purchase not 20 seconds later I was hacked.

So just got off the phone with Blizz support and gona get rolled back .It was the KOREANS !!!! At least thats where the pass change request came from.

Much of the information in the sticky is false. You need to read more carefully.

1.Click on the link on the very top. That post is from someone who claimed to have been hacked despite an authenticator. Now jump to the last page and you'll see that Bashiok checked that person's account and there was no authenticator on it before the compromise.

2.The quotes that follow in the sticky are not from bnet but from an article that was written in 2010, after a very small number of wow accounts were hacked despite using an authenticator. This is not what is currently happening to D3. Blizzard has stated repeatedly that no one with an authenticator has been hacked in D3.
