I'm using serenity in place of cyclone strike, I feel like I'd rather have an invulnerable/cc break/heal than bring all enemies on top of me and die
and cooldown reduction instead of pacifism, resistances passive instead of armor

Otherwise, pretty strong build

Been kinda reading here. I've had my troubles in inferno too.

Ive been focusing on getting my vita up as much as I can, going 2x 1h at around 7k DPS with 48k life 139 res
I have like 2.8% of damage done Leech, but that is about it at the moment

Should I have been focusing on DPS the whole time? I feel like even now I get hit really damn hard even with this much vita

Shit i meant to try this... oh well after work I guess
Does it help vs the damn area-effects-of-death elites tho? I only made it thru half of act1 but I can only manage like 30% of the elite packs... as soon as I get a plagued vampiric or similar and its like a friggin wall :s.
Maybe some more stuns gonna help with that :s. Anyone know if minions enjoy reduced stun duration?

I do pretty well in act1 inferno with only 30-34k hp, 10.6k dps, 1h + shield (shield has very high dex for dmg but also a nice block%)



That's why I like to use serenity. Spamming Mantra of Healing with Boon will keep you alive pretty well but when you get stuck in AoE you need an out, so pop serenity and reposition, then continue attack

how much DPS is the weapon you're using?

Around 580, picked it up from AH for 150k

Also using the 15% dmg increase on Breath of Heaven

I use serenity and seven sided strike as panic buttons, grants some pretty long invulnerability. Maybe I just get shitty spawns, can you guys clear every elite? There are quite some talks of skipping much of them on the forums

I did try cyclone strike yesterday.for a bit, didnt quite get the point of it. I really just made it to inferno, 1 hour or so, currently running a high dodge build (dual wield, 9k damage, 31k hp, 58ish% dodge, 270 all rez i think ). Gonna try swapping some skills out :D. Items aint the best eiher, i spent all my money on whores (aka artisans)

The ones that make me give up are the mob types that can one-shot me. Shielding and Illusion is pretty wack, but you just take them down one by one

Stats on your shield? This is my first go at a shielded monk, IDK what to look for really
