This makes no sense.
Why are you automatically assuming that because it's P2P, they will do more to control bots?

I am not ensuring; there is just a higher likelihood of it.

If people are quitting because of bots as opposed to other reasons, then they are likely to fix that problem to keep their profits.

Blizzard targets whatever issues are causing the most players to quit. For WoW, that issue is content, and that is mostly why there are so many bots running rampant, since bots have a lower priority in the name of profit.

In a Diablo-style game, however, bots are more destructive to the player base than the lack of content, since Diablo games have always had little to no content (although D3 will probably change that), and botting utterly trashes the economy with a wave of "perfect" items, among other things.

However, without P2P, what incentive is there for them to add new content or patch against bots? They already have all of the money they are going to get from you for the game; why would they care to make you happy as long as people are still buying it?

How about making all the money back that they've invested in development and production of the game?

Well let's see, if people quit and tell their friends that there's too big of a bot problem, that leads to less customers.
Another thing, if Blizzard keeps their most recent games up to date, it will increase the amount of customers they have for their next games.

Whether the game is P2P or not, the idea of keeping the game up to date and free of botters is to keep your customers from leaving.

heres an idea, just play the game... cuz bitching about people botting and kids playing just means your to immature to play the game yourself because you are too busy crying about kids farming gold and people useing bots

Of course, that is logical.

People in this forum only read in black-and-white though.

I NEVER said P2P would solve the bot problems. I said it would help some, which it probably will.

I don't understand why we should pay $15 a month to help "a little" with only the bot problem.
Makes no sense to me, never will.
Not going to argue my point any more, since you aren't really taking it into consideration.

Don't really want to argue either, since D3 won't be P2P anyhow :P So doesn't matter in any case.
