now, i think you should spend the rest for the ammy. you can probably find some decent ammy for 1.7mil.

try to find something like this.

+100 dex
+50 vital or life%
+20 cold res
+6% crit chance

you can probably get something decent for 1.7mil.

the thing is i plow through act1 easy, plow through act 3, but elites and some monsters literally take me down like shit

with my tank build(using shield and different weapon) i soloed act 3 with like a couple deaths from switching to mf gear and what not, but they did shit dmg to me. just took ages to take down an elite or any mob..

I've got about 5mil, so maybe someone can suggest where I can start changing my gear for the best effect? Or perhaps I should save up more? Also, in terms of runes, what's the preference here for Serenity - Ascension or Peaceful Repose? Same with Evasion - Hard Target or Backlash?

Every monk who uses Fists of Thunder and Sweeping Winds should be using Won Khim Lau claws as their off hand. Who cares about listed DPS. In case you hadn't noticed, 100% of monks damage is lightning damage, which means that claw gives you a 30% boost to ALL damage you deal. Do you have any idea how many mega millions you'd have to spend on your monk to boost his overall damage by 30%? Yet switching a single weapon slot can do that easily.

I have no idea why every monk doesn't use Won Khim Claw and a helm that has a 10% increase to FOT damage. You guys spend hundreds of millions upgrading your gear, maxing out your dex, so you can have DPS that's high. Yet you don't realize that just adding those 2 things will give you an extra 40% damage, easily, and cheaply.

My monk has 19k listed damage. I used to have to play in Act 2, and even there i'd die and have to skip mobs sometimes. By changing my claw and helm, I can now rip through Act 3 easily and never skip a mob.

Can anyone vouch is this claw worth it this much?
