It's expensive, but can be done. Look for items with int, vit, res and (if possible) ias.

On the other hand, it's entirely possible to clear all acts of inferno with pure dps and godly dodging skills

erm im no expert, but as i understand the ias/asi bug it is that ias only works on weapons? and all other items will have to have ASI(attack speed increased) for it too work probably?
am i wrong here or?

I tried this build And I am now progressing easily thru act 2 solo.

Couple modifications that make it much less boring, expensive and annoying.

First I replaced my 1 hand 900 1.40 wand and source with a 2 handed 1250 dps wep. Increase my dps from 31000 to 40k when buffed.

No source can do this

No need diamond skin in act 2. I don't get one hit due to resist and string of ears dr. But the shell only last a few secs. Can't depend on it anymore.

Replaced diamond with advanced archon. Use it to finish of elites when they are down to 1/4 life. Bliz, blast laser and hit the bomb if they get close. Alway takes out a least one of the pack.

Archon can cRush large white mob to speed up play.

It seems I have to resort to defending at least some concepts here yet again:

First: weapon ias only affects the weapon (not overall character speed), thereby proving that weapon speed may, indeed, be overcome by armor-piece ias.

Second: only legendary pieces of armor may have the ias bug. Everything else is safe.

Third: one may find orbs with 100-400 (around) added damage and an additional +150 or so int, which will add more actual dps than you would with a 2h of similar price.

Wouldn't that orb cost millions amongst millions of igg or thousands of fg to acquire unless you get a lucky find?

This 450 is min+max, correct? (seems to be the case you mention an average of 225). Demi Lich is listed as max 110-405 on D3DB so I wanted to clarify

You must have got one killer deal on that considering I see Lich's with much less than those stats going for millions on the AH. I see a 379 with intelligence going for 3 million.

Not entirely sure what you mean with the bolded...and jesus christ no need to get all defensive and conceptual, I'm just pointing weapon IAS effects on the orb may make two weapons of equal DPS differ in actual DPS.

But i'll reiterate some concepts as well
1)Attack speed on the weapon is multiplied by attack speed from armor (gloves, amulets and rings).
2 (theory)) Attack speed increases on a weapon are part of the weapon's attack speed. Thus not added to the attack speed from gloves/amulets/rings.
3) Orbs add to the damage per hit of your weapon, thus will be multiplied by the weapon attack speed and then ONCE AGAIN by your gloves/amulets rings.

[edit] instead of "defending concepts", could you just point out what part of my post you don't agree with? And if there's nothing that you disagree with, then I'm sorry I misinterpreted your post and its relevance to mine.
