It seems I have to resort to defending at least some concepts here yet again:
First: weapon ias only affects the weapon (not overall character speed), thereby proving that weapon speed may, indeed, be overcome by armor-piece ias.
Second: only legendary pieces of armor may have the ias bug. Everything else is safe.
Third: one may find orbs with 100-400 (around) added damage and an additional +150 or so int, which will add more actual dps than you would with a 2h of similar price.
Not entirely sure what you mean with the bolded...and jesus christ no need to get all defensive and conceptual, I'm just pointing weapon IAS effects on the orb may make two weapons of equal DPS differ in actual DPS.
But i'll reiterate some concepts as well
1)Attack speed on the weapon is multiplied by attack speed from armor (gloves, amulets and rings).
2 (theory)) Attack speed increases on a weapon are part of the weapon's attack speed. Thus not added to the attack speed from gloves/amulets/rings.
3) Orbs add to the damage per hit of your weapon, thus will be multiplied by the weapon attack speed and then ONCE AGAIN by your gloves/amulets rings.
[edit] instead of "defending concepts", could you just point out what part of my post you don't agree with? And if there's nothing that you disagree with, then I'm sorry I misinterpreted your post and its relevance to mine.
