bola + marked for death mortal enemy really gets that hatred back quickly!! 6 hatred per shot. Just gotta make sure ur hitting the target and cluster arrow can be spammed every 1-2 secs, especially as im using night bane on shadow power and bat companion too :D

clearing elites just as fast as spike trap!!

you need EHP for this build tho...

hey guys, threw together a demon hunter recently and am looking for some instruction.

i used to run a bola/multishot build to blast through lower MPs but started getting into higher DPS builds for wanting to do an uber run. i've worked with a grenade/cluster bomb build and i like it but it's not viable for solo play imo. with a cm wiz it's a blast watching cluster bombs drop 800k crits but doing it while kiting just isnt fun and takes a lot of skill (not that i don't have any).

right now my skillset and DML supports a hungering/spike trap build but i'm not sure exactly if i'm doing it right. i spam hungering arrows and drop spike traps whenever i have enough hatred. i'm trying to find the best skillset for highest edps while running a manticore.

thoughts? also, a critique on my gear would be appreciated. i know it could use some work (took some before upgrade parts off my monk so you'll notice fire res on some pieces). stupid me i sold my 8/4 dex mempo once i got my 9/6 and forgot i could've used it on my DH. :P oh well!

nice, i was starting to think SoJ after Donk's comment about it and have always been confused as to what ring to run on the other side of that nat's. i will look into them when i get home from work :)

please correct me if i'm wrong. for elemental damage on a SoJ, it doesnt matter if i'm using a manticore right?

i dont know that much abotu the whole black dmg elemental dmg thing, but i can confirm my cold soj works on my manticore.

The main reason soj is so good is the increased dmg to elites- no ring can match the dmg increase it gives.

Sup Visaria,

Nice you got a DH and are commenting on here, the elemental damage on the SOJ does not work quite like an SOJ on black dmg weapons -- as far as how the DMG is calculated --

However, the cold% damage works with certain skills (the skills have to do physical damage for them to apply the slowing effect of the cold soj). Once DHs reach a certain point of DPS/EHP -- which you certainly are -- there is no need to run a rare ring or anything like that unless you are either Paragon leveling (so you run Hellfire) or you want to bring your Unbuffed dps higher for that Diablo Progress Rank. But nothing beats an SOJ (of any kind really) MAINLY because its a free 10 disc with massive damage vs Elites.

Man I played with my DH friend for the first time last night. It was a full game in mp8.

From the beginning, I told my friend that I'm going to play a saving private DH game myself for the run.

I failed 6 times. Couldn't stop the fallen maniac from getting to him.

It was fun though. haha
