id say the one you have looks better for the cost and the amount of improvement.

your only looking at like 20 more res and 300-500 dps.

idealy, the goal would be high ias(7-9),crit ch, all res, and main res then your going to be looking for dex as 1 mod or dex/vita as 1 mod the last stat would probably be either min/max or loh.

Hey. What to upgrade next in the name of DPS ?

I know those weapons could use some +200 dexterity or something like that on them, but those are unimaginable hard to find, not mention when finding one, but then even buying it. Just lost one auction last night on the last seconds :/ Not the first time
And it makes it even harder to find these, because I really want the weapon(s) to have 2.50+% Life steal, not Life on Hit.

Helmet is also very hard to find, as I want to keep those resistances or even raise them a bit, haven't seen any better all-around helm on (europe) AH yet.

Also there are plenty of 140+ base dex pants on AH, but I really wouldn't want to get +50 more dex and then lose 40+ vitality and 30+ resistances.

Amulet, well... Yeah. Just using it for it's "all-aroundness" Could get pretty huge dps boost if it had 50+ critical damage, but then all the other stats are going down, atleast when checking AH's items.

Those rings could propably use some upgrade too, been looking all over for skull grasp with attack speed, haven't seen many around and the prices are from some other dimension.

What is the best 1hand weapon for monks? Daggers cause they are faster or Fist Weapons for the LPSS?

i guess depends on your needs, you can get other weps with ias,and be faster then daggers ,with the stats you need

it all depends on your budget.

as they said... plus i feel it heavily depends on a person's playstyle.

But if we had to think up the end-all be-all dream weapon for a monk?
it would be 1k+ DPS, 1.4++ APS, IAS%, 900+ LoH, 3.00% LL, 100% natural crit dmg, 200+ Dex, 200+ Vita, Socket. (or LPSS in place of LL)
LOL, but that many props is super rare, imagine that many stats at their maximums... statistically almost impossible for the RNG system to produce.



Most of what you mentioned for certain gear pieces is about all you can do.
Your stats are already really good, and you are at the point where most gear upgrades are gonna be the "near perfect" pieces that are insanely expensive.

the ONLY real obvious upgrades at this point are your helm and rare ring.
Each could definitely get same stats with higher dex value... helms always seem to be a bit difficult to find good ones.
If only yours had Vita instead of Intell, and Lightning Res instead of Gold Find... and about double that dex... it would be the dream helm

So besides getting perfect/higher DEX rolls on helm/rings... i suppose the only other thing is upgrade your crit chance gear if you somehow find upgrades WITH higher crit chance... getting to 50% would squeeze out a bit more dps too.
Heh, either way, nice work... I would say LASTLY, find a similar stat weapon to replace that hammer. 1.20 APS is holding you back, get a 1.40 or 1.50+ weapon cheers and GL

if u wanna gain more dps then drop the LoH. your dps and defense are way past the point at which u still need LoH. u dont need it when u kill a mob in 1-3hits and u get a health globe. you already have health globe pickup radius on your shoulders and that is enough. and yeah with your gear lvl i would change your helm to a 150+dex helm with 6% crit and light res with socket. having base %life or vit on top would be bonus.

also i think 800 res is enough so you could probably cut on that too and pump more dps. if you decide to cut res elsewhere you can easily find a ring with light res on it
