I am trying to decide what follower to have for my witch doctor.
Anyone have suggestions? If you could add the gear/skills build too that would be great!

I would suggest overall the enchantress!

I'm not 100% sure about this, but i believe that her armor buff also helps your minions

That, on top of the attack speed, seemed like the best choice available!

Not to mention, you can add MF to her whereas the scoundrel you cannot!

See that is what I was thinking.

I just got my WD to 60 today, and bought some stuff and used some of my wizard's gear. I'm wondering what I should upgrade and what I should look for. I'm using the speed doctor build for farming mp0 alk runs.

Tal's neck. With crit if you can afford it, max/min damage if not. They start about 1m. The % elemental damage is pretty big usually, even though you have a poison knife. Use d3up to see how much you gain from it. If you get one of these, definitely get a black socketed 1h. If you just want to run mp0, don't worry about LS - get a high roll on LoK on another piece and you're fine as long as you're careful aroudn reflect packs.

Your pants give you good sheet dps but if you aren't using a primary you may find they hurt your mana usage. Personally I like rares or depth diggers.

If i did go with the tal's neck, would the EF i have on my wiz be ok even though it's not socketed?

Try it, see how it goes. I see you've got a tals on your wiz already. How does your dps change if you swap to that EF and the tals?

I put tal's and the EF on, and my dps went up to about 110k. I did an alk run and it was much better. Reflect gave me a little trouble, but I stayed alive.

What should I be upgrading next?

How do you guys deal with reflected damage?

I die quite easy from them, can't do that much... not in higher MP since it takes longer to kill packs.
