2,74 aps is the breakpoint you need. Or 3,003. Your cc is fine, didn't notice. But still, without third apoc slot it can be difficult. Your resists are also low for Storm Armor too.

Imo the right way to gain resists is to have them on chest, legs, belt.

Cheapest tals w/ 60 AR = 30mil
Cheapest innas w/ 60 AR = 35mill
Cheapest witching w/ 50 AR = 28 mill

You believe that going this route will enhance my survivability enough to warrant spending almost 100 mill?

Hi, I'm looking for some advice as well.
I'm currently building a CM wiz, but I'm not sure what threshold I should be aiming for.

This 2.74 aps sounds nice, but I would imagine out of my budget range... I do not want to sacrifice EHP and DPS for it.
I would be happy if I can efficiently farm MP5 or 6 before losing MF (and hopefully be able to afford end-game by then), and I have no intention of soloing MP10 ubers or whatever yet.

I'm currently farming spectrum/hamburger with my DH lol, and waiting for next patch so I can level up faster in higher MP than current patch.
I plan to get zuni's chest with huge regen and possibly zuni boots for even higher AR. Also, rare ring is just a temp one, I'm planning to get one with 7% ias, 5% crit, +50AR range.

Now, the question:
1) What weapon should I get? I see desolator wands with 1.4 aps and apoc for really cheap, but no one's really buying them.
- Would having attack speed prop = 1.5x be enough?
- Would Chantodo's with socket/crit = 1.65 ish be enough?

I think my build will be tanky enough to survive occasional un-freeze, but would it be absolutely unplayable or inefficient for procs with 1.4 or 1.5 aps range weapon?

2) Would it be better for me to get a mempo = 9% attack speed or current 5% crit? Not DPS wise but general freezing and procs.

3) Are tal rasha's chest's and inna's worth it?
- Would tal rasha's set bonus ever come in handy for CM wiz? Is that 9% attack speed really worth paying extra over zuni's (and lose AR set bonus as well)?
- I already have movement speed from lacuni so I thought it would be cheaper and get more EHP with rare pants or depth diggers, but once again, would the attack speed be necessary?


I know this is not truly "high end" build, but any input would be great

You are never sacrificing DPS when trying to reach 2,74 aps breakpoint. You are doing so by not reaching it. Same goes with EHP, if you are not fast enough to refresh diamond skin and leech enough - no amount EHP will save you. So getting high aps and high cc is the core principle of our build. You shouldn't be looking at dps number on your character sheet either, it can be 200k and you will be as effective as proper 90k dps cm/ww.

Your questions:

1) Chantodo. Nothing else fits this build. There are like 2-3 daggers in the world that might fit but in the end it is Chantodo that rules them all. 1,65 is a must, imo.
2) Neither. You should always use crit Storm Crow.
3) Tal Chest is essential. Inna's pants is an option, but it's better to reach 2,74 aps without using them, blackthorne pants is the BIS armor piece here.
