how do you have 38% crit chance and 320% crit damage and only have 28k dps O___O

Exactly, that's what I have unbuffed, 41k fully buffed (BoH+Deadly Reach Foresight+Combination Strike passive)

Do you have low Dex or low attack damage

I'm currently at 1818 dex, trying to reach 2k.

Ok so i been able to give a lot of advice for act1/2 inferno so far, but i am having a little trouble pats Ghom.
Ghom was a little tough, but simply dancing around mechanics i was able to kill him in roughly two rotations around the room.

But the zones on the way to the bridge are destroying me, like more than 6 mobs melt me. Admittedly everything so far has been tough, but they didnt 1-2 shot me like i am getting now.
Again, this is ONLY stuff in "THE BRIDGE OF KORSIKK" zones, the open areas just before the bridge itself.... My armor is a tad low unbuffed but good with Hard Target/Merc/Keen Eye. Stats below, lmk act3/4 monks what you think it mainly is.
(i just spend several million upgrading gear for Ghom too, argh!)

Crit chance was simply to procc Sweeping Wind more, this is not a Crit Dmg build obviously.
I switch Sweeping Wind out often for Blinding Flash (or sometimes drop FoT for it)... Build-wise it isn't really the issue as i often run more heavy defensive too and the same thing occurs as described above.
I almost always have Keen Eye up, so with my Merc my armor stays around 10k... more life? more resist? i felt like i was doing damn well earlier in act3, but this hill im climbing up now is a tough one... after Ghom is like a new act!!!

You damage is on the low end I believe, aren't you killing stuff too slowly?

You only have 5600 armor with a shield. You are undergeared for a3. Get more loh too and att spd

nah, higher tank monks are doing like 11k dps and getting past enrage timers, i killed ghom in like 2-3 min.



Really? im still considered undergeared... the last vid i saw a guy with less stats and getting through... so i wasnt sure... well i guess time to spend more money. *sigh*

Im thinking ima just sell all my monk gear and finish gearing my DH instead, lol.... she has crap drops only and tears through act1/2 inferno hah.

1.5 attack speed with sub par LOH

with 7900 armor, 1650 loh, 1.77 attack speed + thunderclap stuff doesnt even hurt my monk

some questions

1. what is better to use?
- one weapon + shield or two weapons?

2. in case of 2 weapons:
- is loh cumulated for each hit or depends which weapon is used at the moment?
- is there any difference in usage monk fist and sword or axe (having the same aps) ?
- how is final aps calculated having 2 weapons with two different aps (for instance 1.4 and 1.54)

3. how to calculate life steal
- for instance - having 2% life stealing on the weapon and doing 20k dmg - is it equal to 400 life on hit?
