It's not that archon will suck, people are just speculating/basing on ptr that it will be less efficient for paragon lvling due to the coming xp changes with monster power. However afaik mf isn't changing in the same way xp is so IMO farming items will still be more efficient in lower mp and thus archon will still have a valid place.

"i made a monk, a barb, and im thinking to make a wizz to compare the farming ways of them all (ofc, a3 mp0-2). would a archon wizz be good idea ? how much id have to spend to get decent killing speed, considering my monk kills elites within 3-10s, and barb little more but ww's through everything, thought they both were cheap chars.

all res on boots, better vile wards (like at least with phys res or added str). Crit mempo or good storm crow.



I heard LoH can be ok and ls is just completely useless. For farming you need high resists/armor and ls from Blood Magic. So I would bank on cd Fury or better double int/vita/socket fury (if they exist).

To all guys asking for starting wizards builds: do dirt cheap arcon builds and solo farm. CM/WW or SNS builds require ton of expensive equipment.

Preparing for 1.07 what would you hepl me with?

I don't want to know what I'm not preparing for in terms of archon & cm builds, I want a blizzard build! Help me out!

Is increased blizzard duration really that useful? I think I'd rather see decreased casting cost since 40 is a huge chunk but this does not exist afaik.

Also how does the lengthened duration affect total dps of the spell? The way the skill description is phrased longer duration would actually be less dps unless it means "210% per second" or per tick over 6 seconds which is then extended x seconds for you gear resulting in more damage/ap.

I think that:

45 cc
3 aps
600-1000 LOH
18 apoc (more better)

If you can nearly permafreeze (100% perma is imposible, always they move a little bit) you will not need a lot of life/res, but a good amount as 800-1000 res all would be ok.
