you can try hybrid cm like with meteor or pure meteor. Doesn't require expensive ias stacking as much as classical cm/ww.

That way you can ditch prismatic armor in favour of shocking aspect rune of storm armor, you will gain up to 40% effective dps. Apoc source would be nice too. If you want to reach 3,0 aps 272 mill won't be enough however. But do buy only 9 ias pieces when upgrading.



this is a shitty pathetic build saw it everywhere. Why would you need so many cold spells? You just need blizzard and cold blooded passive, that would be more than enough. Using offensive cold spells doesn't give you any synergy. CM builds are still vastly superior.




don't bs people about "huge upgrade is paragon level". It's not huge it's moderate at best. Also not so subtle stream promotion can have a separate thread.

I understand superior but what if I just want to have fun? I just want to be able to farm mp5 efficiently and enjoy my time. Not everything is about blowing everything to pieces instantly.

This guy use only cold spells because he uses Frostburn which gives to cold skills up to 30% more damage which is not nothing. Super trifactor gloves can do better yeah but are WAAAY more expensive. And we can at least say that that build is kinda fun/original.

Might be fun, but still almost no Synergy there. For me fun would something like Meteor Shower + Blizzard with both cold blooded + conflagation as passives. Using all possible spells is needless overkill, you got to be more creative than that.



Actually tri-fecta gloves are not so expensive right now. And with Frostburns you are losing a lot of utility by missing 6-10 critical chance which can up procs from cm a lot.

experimented with meteor build. So far it's worse then classical cm/ww. Even with 27 apoc casting meteors depletes ap to zero and it interrupts casting wicked winds and novas. Tried it instead of explosive blast. Tried liquefy and molten impact. Liquefy works better but got really ugly animation (why is it blue?). Does anyone here tested proper meteor build that works?

You can get -5 meteor cost from source, mara, skull grasp, soj and probably rare wizard. That's up to 25 reduction. But I don't think anyone has the gears to test that.

unless it's 15+ reduction it won't matter.

So I did some testing with meteor build and got some results. Here is me http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Mad1Lee-2243/hero/195500, note that I reach 3,003 aps due to Time Stretch (which is next wicked wind breakpoint). All I did with skills is I changed Slow Time - Time Stretch to different meteor spells and evocation to conflagation. Results were a bit disappointing. Molten Impact had the worst e-dps despite additional proc from molten, it's less effective dps than with bubble instead of meteor also my wizard became very squishy due freeze lock interruptions and additional reflected damage. Also Slow Time reduces enemies damage, it's not much but still something. Liquefy did better, same e-dps as with bubble, however I died to azmodan once. (did all testing in core of arreat mp5 and mainly versus azmodan). Best e-dps turned out to be Meteor Shower - it procs like crazy and fills ap pretty quickly. With meteor shower my e-dps has grown from 720k to 780k ~ 9% increase. However I still need some more testing. For now I can say that 9% e-dps increase is not worth it as you are losing a lot of survivability without bubble. In my case I lose ww breakpoint as well so no more smooth perma-freeze and no more 10ias increase for party members.

I suggest that you and all people who invested in arcon gear should really sell it fast. Because with new buffs to experience gain at higher mp's arconing mp1 is not gonna be most effective way of farming and leveling. All those overpriced overhyped leorics gonna lose value very soon. Because higher mps give much better xp boosts in 1.07 and leoric is a letdown gear slot, absolutely useless. Well, I knew from the start that high end arcon gear will lose it's value with time a lot.

Make a cm/ww wizard, or think about pvp gear. Your gear sucks balls, man. First thing that you should sell is life leech fury. Imo, all wizard's weapons with life leech gonna be useless after mp buffs, because only viable build for higher mp and group play is cm/ww and he utilizes loh and not life steal (loh is rumoured to be semi-useful in pvp too)

In fact I think it's the most effective pvm build in the game if we are considering group play and higher mps. With correct timing of meteor casting (it interrupts wicked wind and nova casting, you should remember that) it's absolutely destroying everything. With 134k paper dps my effective dps went from 730k (SNS with bubble to reach 3,003 aps wicked wind breakpoint) to 1 mill. Although it requires 25+ apoc (30 is better) and a lot of defence as well as 800+loh (I would consider 1000 loh would be optimal). If anyone got high end in terms of aps/cc and defence cm/ww gear (like me), I dare you to try it. Might even make a video.
