is it surpassing the classic bow/arrow setup?
should 1 handed crossbows only be used in dual wield?

i'm curious how things have shaped up, haven't played since pre 1.04

What goin on guys? Finally JSP is back up

Anyway,

My 2 cents on the discussion above is -- Farming Legacy is superior in low MPs, therefore, higher efficiency.

As for PvP it takes one hell of a New nats set to beat a good legacy DH player. Mystical (who has an average legacy set) went 7-10 VS REVRAC, revrac won of course but it was not easy. DH vs DH is largely based on skill.

uhhhh

new nats > legacy nats in pvp...

legacy nats do not have the ehp for barbs or wd, unless ofc you have really insane gear but even then i dont think they will beat top barbs and wds..

show me a legacy nats dh that can beat top barbs and wds

PS. legacy nats dh do not own non legacy dh's .... its more or less first to 2 impales wins

1v1: legacy nats is worse than new nats
4 player FFA: new nats 4 set is only better if you are really skilled and have really good gear, legacy nats might be better otherwise.

1. Agree
2. kinda agree but depends on use of smoke screens, everyone has this stupid picture in their heads that legacy nats gives you unlimited smoke screens, when in reality it doesnt. IMO 2 or 3 extra smokescreens mean nothing if you die in 1 hit, you lose out on much dodge %, life, armor, res, DPS. I really dont think its worth it for anything but farming. i run 40 discipline or 60 discipline in pvp non legacy depending who i duel this gives me either 80 or 120 discipline after preparation which is about 7 smokescreens minimum (6 i know but usually 7 or 8 by the time u run out) the only duel i know that lasts longer than 7 smoke screens is vs a strong barb

vs monk quick duel
vs dh quick duel
vs wd quick duel
vs wiz quick duel

The only good pvp legacy dh i met is Neotox.

Dang got stomped by MysticaL last night. He's soooo good. :D

His movement is by far the best I've ever faced.

And for me, legacy nats is more annoying.

I met 2 situations in 4 player FFA (3 piece new nat+10 disc cloak+SoJ+10 disc quiver sometimes):
-I outgear them, so I stay in middle and only use smoke screen sometimes, maybe even use sentry to own them more
-They have similar/better gear, so I let them fight each other and snipe them from far away, legacy nats give different discipline management ability, you can vault to get in better position but your dps/ehp is obviously lower, you can get away for 10sec and get your discipline back. With new nats, you can't really vault and smoke screen, you have to manage your discipline better.
I think legacy nat might be better in 4 DH FFA and new nat is better against good ehp barbs/monks and other classes.
I played against 3 other paragon 90+ DHs and it was the most insane 1-shot fest I've ever seen. :D

And the only counter to a barb is high dps, you have to burst them and not let them run away and regen their life.
